This is terrible. It’s the first day of move in and my room is not ready. It is extremely dirty. There is mold, cigarette smell, leftover food in the refrigerator, stove top is dirty, leftover food in cabinets, water damage, beds are bent, refrigerator broken, etc!! I don’t know what they got going on but they need to figure it out. This is extremely ghetto. I am highly upset. I cannot even move into my room. My move in time was 11 AM. It is 12 PM and I still haven’t been able to move in!!!

Laker Village is great for those who want to have their own space but still make connections with people around them. I will say that the maintenance turnaround time is slow, and they don't fix the problem directly; they cover it with a bandage. The housing staff is always busy getting things together, but they do try to resolve the issues as fast as they can, and that might not be as fast as the students would like. If you are looking for a school that gives community, then I would recommend CSU. Also, there are LLCs and other organizations on campus that do activities to make our living environment better, so I would suggest joining to see the changes you want to make.
