They don’t fix things and the manager do not care

When I moved here almost two years ago, everything was great. The property mgr at the time, Kelly, was easy to work with, and made the move smooth, and my rating reflected that. Kelly is long since gone, and during that time, there have been changes to property management, hence, a change to my review. There were issues with the unit that were revealed over time after I moved in, some of which I feel were ongoing before I took residence here, and although many of the issues have been taken care of, it took well over a year plus for most of them to be resolved. Repeated master bedroom ceiling leaks, a bee hive colony in the wall of the second bedroom, a breach in the sunroom wall that caused water damage to the wall and an opening for insects, no screens on any of the windows to air out the unit, and most notably, flooding in the unit due to heavy rain and subpar water drainage, which has still not been resolved after it being reported well over a year ago. It took me threatening to reach out to the corporate office to get a bulk of these issues completed by the property manager, and they were done in quick succession AFTER the fact. I was compensated for out pocket expenses and water damage to personal property, but the flood issue still exists. In other words, they haven't completely honored the terms of their leasing agreement. As of me updating this review, there were thunderstorms about a week ago, and par the course, water entered the unit. I've had to use flood dam bags out side and inside the unit to mitigate the amount of water entering the unit due to the massive amounts of water that pools when it rains. I'm sure there is water damage to the walls and possibly mold, which they have not tested for in certain areas of the unit. The overall flood issue has gotten nowhere with the current property manager, and when I've inquired on any future repairs to the issues, or discount to my rent due to said issue, my concerns get sent to corporate, and things get silent. Crazy thing is, they've been made aware of this and I've requested the unit be tested for mold, but again, circkets. It seems neither the property manager nor the property owners want to resolve the issue, or compensate for said issue. I can't immediately move, as I'm getting back on my feet from cancer treatment, and I don't think much needs to be said in that regard due to financial obligations for said treatment. Rent at your own risk, is all I will say. The unit I reside in is a nice one, but repairs can run EXCESSIVELY slow, and in the case of the flooding in my unit, be ignored. Rent is due in full, but again, their obligations on their end of the lease agreement can be left up to them to complete in their own time, or not at all. I could go on, but I will end it here. I trust this review helps someone make an informed and logical decision to move here.

I’m here visiting a friend at her apartment as I am typing this. I’m watching her with her shop vac clean up toilet water protruding from behind the walls onto her living room floor. And it’s A LOT OF WATER! Maintenance has not fixed any of the plumbing issues. So when the neighbor flushes their toilet and it goes between the three apartments. Water damage, smell. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!! And they rent high too?!! Oh HECK NO!! Anybody paying an apartment complex almost $1500/month should not be having ANY PROBLEMS! And there is STILL WATER COMING FROM BEHIND THE WALLS! This UNSANITARY, UNHEALTHY, & UNSAFE! Damn😡🤬
