I would say the main good thing about these apartments is the proximity to campus. When my roommates and I moved in, the apartment was disgusting and not cleaned at all. One of my roommate's fan/light was broken for almost a week when we moved in before they fixed it and most of our bathroom sinks are cracked. Our ice maker doesn't work and our fridge leaks, even after putting multiple maintenance requests in. For whatever reason, they decided to do fire alarm testing during the entire week of finals, which was extremely irritating and they would sometimes go off for over 10 minutes at times. They did not tell us that maintenance was going to be coming into our apartments at 10AM on a random weekday and banging on our individual room doors to "check" our fire alarms...they didn't even check the batteries though because a few weeks later, we had to get one of ours replaced because it wouldn't stop beeping. At least they work! The hallways/stairwells are always dirty and smell gross. I have seen them sweep/clean them twice in the time I've lived here. For the ridiculous price and fees we pay, I would at least expect them to keep the buildings clean. Last semester there was a spilled chipotle bowl that rotted across the hallway for probably 4 or 5 months. Disgusting. The apartment themselves have somewhat nice furniture (despite the paint specks splattered on our couches and broken dressers!) and are fairly spacious. Staff members are always very kind and helpful. Also tip for anyone who is thinking of moving in, there are no elevators so try to consolidate as much stuff as you can.

My name is Aubrey & I am a current resident at this place. My experience has not been good at all. I paid my rent the first of august, Come move in day we don’t even have our own mail keys. Also we face many maintenance issues, This establishment doesn’t care about college kids, Just your money. They also make me pay for packages and receiving mail, but again I have no mail key. I also have tried to wash my clothes in their washer, and it doesn’t work. So what am I paying 1100 for? Beats me. DO NOT LEASE HERE

I cannot tell you adequately how much we appreciate the front office and their staff for a job well done on move in day. We had a slight issue that they immediately resolved and did so willingly, and professionally. The apartment complex is clean and well lit at night. We are very pleased with our experience!

5th year living here at the Blake and I still have no complaints. I’ve lived in 3 different units during my time here, and they have all been consistent in quality. The appliances are out dated, but in my time here they have been reliable and only broken a hand full of times. The apartments systems (AC/water) and construction (fixtures, etc) are very simple, so most common issues are very easy to fix yourself if you spend 5 minutes figuring it out. The only issue I ever had was my freezer broke once, but they gave me a whole new one for free. I’ve felt very valued as a resident here throughout my tenancy, and i am satisfied with the experience and memories I’ve had here.
