Westside Union Apartments

I would like to give you all five stars, but unfortunately, due to loud and extreme noises, I can’t. However, I will say that the staff is very friendly and the environment is very clean.

UPDATED REVIEW: Updating my review because management did acknowledge the noise concerns by sending out a community reminder. I know they can’t control what people choose to do, but it is nice to feel like your concerns are being heard. Hopefully everyone respects the community rules moving forward. I appreciate them addressing it. I felt it was important to share my experience. It’s currently after 10:00 p.m., and there are people outside by the pool blasting music through a loud speaker, even though the pool should already be closed. I looked for the security officer but I assume he doesn’t work Sunday. When I first moved to Westside Union a year ago, it was peaceful. One of the main reasons I chose this community was because it felt quieter than many other apartment complexes in Atlanta. I understood there would be normal apartment noise, but what I’ve experienced over the last few weeks has gone far beyond that. There is also a neighbor, or someone nearby, with what sounds like a surround sound system. The music can be heard and felt at all hours, whether it’s the middle of the afternoon or late at night. The beat is loud enough that I often have to turn my TV volume up just to drown it out, or leave my apartment. I’ve reported the issue to the leasing office multiple times and was told a notice would be sent out reminding residents to be mindful of noise. I’ve never seen that notice, despite the office regularly sending emails about other community matters. It’s disappointing because this issue has been ongoing, and I don’t feel like it’s been addressed. To be fair, the front office staff has always been friendly, and I appreciate that the community hosts resident events. My frustration isn’t with the staff personally. It’s with the lack of enforcement when it comes to excessive noise. I understand that apartment living comes with some level of noise, and I’m not expecting complete silence. However, there should be reasonable expectations for residents to respect those around them, especially during quiet hours. And for some odd reason the music travels through into my bathroom. I have videos but it only allows picture. My lease is up in October, as someone whose sensitive to sound, I can’t wait to be gone.. It’s disappointing because I genuinely enjoyed living here for most of the past year, but the recent noise issues have made my apartment feel anything but peaceful.

The leasing staff go above and beyond to help me out. I haven’t experienced anything bad since I have been here for 3mo! No robberies. The only thing that sucked was that my 8ft couch didnt fit in the elevator.

UPDATE: I’ve lived here for a year and felt it was appropriate to update my old review — especially since much has changed for the better. Pros: Modern units. Good location (Target and Atlantic Station are walkable). Friendly, attentive staff. Nice amenities. The maintenance team is prompt and responsive. Many of the cons I previously listed have been addressed in recent months, specifically the issue with parking garage break-ins. There is clearer signage outside the garage and a stronger barrier to entry. People drive through it like maniacs but that’s just Atlanta. The staff is also super helpful. They try to make residents lives easier and I appreciate their kindness and dedication.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve had an amazing experience living at Westside Union! The staff truly makes this community special. Victor and Jordan are absolutely fantastic—both are always friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful whenever I need assistance. It’s clear they genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels at home. As a dog owner, I especially love how welcoming the building is to pets. Victor and Jordan always make a point to say hello to my dog, and the treats they keep at the front desk are a huge hit with all the furry residents! The community events hosted each month are another highlight. They’re always well organized and provide a great opportunity to meet neighbors and build a real sense of community. The location can’t be beat either. Being right in the heart of West Midtown means we’re close to everything—great restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and easy access to the rest of Atlanta. If you’re looking for a place with an outstanding staff, a strong community atmosphere, and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend Westside Union!
