★★★★★ I absolutely loved my time at The Upton! My stay ended sooner than expected because of a great job opportunity, but I’m genuinely grateful I got to call this place home. Joia and the entire team were always so kind and helpful. What I loved most was that The Upton actually felt like a community. Between the beautiful art gallery, murals, rooftop vegetable garden, free coffee 😂, and monthly resident events (which I definitely wish I had attended more of!), there was always something that made the building feel like more than just an apartment. I also loved having friends over, and the location is hard to beat—close to the airport, right near Summerhill, and walking distance to the farmers market. I’m sad my time was cut short, but The Upton gave me some really great memories and was truly one of the best places I’ve lived. I’d absolutely recommend it! My one recommendation would be to add more visitor parking. Hosting friends was always fun, but finding visitor parking could definitely be a challenge. Other than that, I really have nothing but good things to say!

I love this apartment but mostly because of JAZ. I have to give it to her. Shes the best lifestyle director I have ever in my life interacted with. The community she helped to cultivate in real time from the community events is amazing. Shes really a star. Every event has been intentional and full of love and genuine connection. You can plan an event all you want logistically but you can’t plan joy. You can’t plan a soft and kind spirit. That something you embody. That’s what Jaz embodies. I hope she’s our director forever. She’s what’s keeping me here. Seriously. I also can’t say enough about Ladun! Our fitness instructor. The health and wellness program has really helped me stay on top of my goals and added to my sense of community. I know sometimes these apartment complexes offer great amenities to start and then it dwindles. Please keep up the same work. You’ve got us here, now keep us here.

The experience degraded exponentially over the course of my lease. From day 1 construction noise from properties across the street was off the charts. Then came the Invasion of fruit flies from the sewage/sink which they could never solve or mitigate. People leaving trash bags in hallways without cans surely doesn’t help. The staff in the leasing office are kind upon tours and move ins. However once an issue arises the act ends and you see who they really are. Upon the ending of my lease I was instructed on what I needed to do. I did them. A month later I received a bill from Georgia power because my account had not been properly closed so I WAS CHARGED FOR THE USAGE THE PROPERTY ACCRUED. Upon reaching out to the manager I was advised since it was in my name any fees are my responsibility. Despite me having zero access to the property and having vacated my unit the month prior. That is disgraceful behavior from a place that I spent over $29k at. $120 pales in comparison to the cost of a year plus lease. This place isn’t how it appears when you tour. Majority of folks are at work or out and about. Speeding cars down the streets and cops chasing folks happens regularly. In addition to cars being broke into due to lack of security patrolling the lot they advised guest to use. Do your due diligence before moving here.
