This property offers competitive pricing and a convenient location close to campus, with many residents appreciating the spacious units and generally responsive maintenance staff who often address issues quickly. However, some common concerns include frequent elevator malfunctions, occasional cleanliness issues in shared spaces like hallways and parking garages, and a mandatory package delivery service that adds to monthly costs.

Best management team for the price. If you live in a more luxury apartment of twice the price, being friendly and accommodating should be the norm. Bower, however, offers great value given its proximity to campus and convenient neighborhood. It is also obvious that the buildings and facilities are not the newest, but the management team is doing a great job maintaining a high quality living experience. It's a new semester and many students are moving in. Bower is huge and I can't imagine how busy the small team would be, but they tried their best to attend to my every need. Shout out to TeJay the manager for quickly responding to the cooling issue in the fridge and offering a replacement. I have two cats in the unit and the maintenance was careful enough to put them safely in the bedroom when moving the fridge. It is only my second week, but so far it has been great.

This staff has been exceptional and more than accommodating. You can tell this location is a new experience for all involved. I do like to be the beacon of positivity and share the light of all the good. This community is the home for many students due to close proximity of the campuses and the price is very competitive for the space. I personally like that there is plenty of parking for the most part on each level. I do wish these adults living here respected the fact that outside is not as tidy it could be if all chipped in to do their part which is do not liter. It is a disrespect to earth and community if you are throwing trash outside. Take pride in where you live. The time they are having to address cleaning up someone’s trash is wasteful and it only makes sense the office and maintenance would have more time for meaningful duties or building more rapport with us. I just want to say it doesn’t go unnoticed to all the team by the office and maintenance efforts in making all the accommodations you do make to give us a great place to live at. I know that all my maintenance request have been fulfilled and resolved. One day at a time (in an 8 hour shift) God bless yall! Thank you for all you do!

I absolutely DO NOT recommend living at Bower Westside. Since the beginning of our lease, we have experienced one problem after another, and the management’s response has consistently been disappointing. For the amount of money residents pay to live here, the level of service and management is unacceptable. We have dealt with maintenance issues, cleanliness problems, excessive noise, questionable and unexpected charges on our bills, including water-related charges, and constant changes in management. It often feels like there is no consistent person available to actually take responsibility and resolve residents’ concerns. The worst experience, however, has been the ongoing noise from the unit above us. For approximately THREE MONTHS, we have been dealing with extremely loud stomping, banging, and impact noises coming from Unit 1524. This happens early in the morning, during the day, at night, and sometimes late at night. The noise is so intense that it often sounds as though heavy objects are being dropped directly above our heads. We have done everything management asked us to do. We reported the problem repeatedly. We went to the leasing office multiple times. We recorded videos and audio evidence. We documented the incidents. The situation became so unbearable that we even contacted the police, who came and addressed the issue with the upstairs residents. And after all of that, what has management done? Almost nothing. Every time we ask for help, we are basically told to “be patient.” We HAVE been patient. Three months is more than enough patience. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that after asking us to provide recordings and documentation, management is now telling us that they cannot address the issue with the upstairs resident and that WE can move to another unit instead. Even worse, we were told that transferring could involve additional costs or paying rent in advance. Why should the residents who have repeatedly reported the disturbance be the ones expected to move and pay additional money? Residents pay substantial rent to live here. Providing a reasonably peaceful living environment and taking repeated complaints seriously should be a basic responsibility of property management. Telling residents to simply “be patient” or move does not solve the problem. Living here has caused us an enormous amount of stress and has seriously affected our ability to feel comfortable and at peace in our own home. I am waiting for my lease to end, and based on our experience, I would NEVER recommend Bower Westside to anyone considering living here. Before signing a lease here, please think very carefully. A nice-looking building is not worth much when you cannot peacefully live inside your own apartment and management does not meaningfully resolve repeated complaints.

I just started paying rent on my unit in mid May but I’ve only been down there about three times for over the last 2 months . But this is what I’ve seen so far. The elevators are on their last legs. All three times I’ve been there they’ve had issues. I was just there this week and 3 of the 4 elevators were broken, and the one still working was moving so slowly I worried that it was going to break with me in it. When I first moved into the unit it had all been freshly repainted and now I think I know why. They did it to hide all the water damage. My apartment is on the top floor and yesterday it rained really hard for about 30 minutes and water was coming in all across the window frame and dripping from the ceiling of the bathroom. After looking at where it had happened I could see that there was older water damage that had been patched and painted over before I moved in. I put in a repair request, but the only way that an issue like this can be fixed is with a new roof, and if they’re not going to fix the elevator I doubt they’ll be replacing the roof. If I hadn’t already signed the lease I be looking elsewhere. Giving an update on the leakage situation, I don’t know what was done but it’s rained pretty hard since the repairs and no signs of leaks. Now that I’ve been here a little more I’m getting the feeling that previous management may have let things get bad and the current owners are doing their best to fix it, it’s just going to take a little time.
