Bell Rock Springs

Terrible Experience. I recently applied for an apartment in Virginia Highlands with Bell Rock Springs. I told the leasing staff my exact situation. My credit rating is 800, no evictions and no debt and over $80,000 in the bank. I had just moved to Atlanta was waiting to start a job but my savings could cover 4 years of rent. They encouraged me to apply and said they thought Id be fine. After 2 weeks of me constantly chasing, there was hardly any communication from the leasing office. And it was confusing, the leasing agents phone was so bad I could only hear every other word. I sent them all of my bank statements and because $50,000 was in A Wells Fargo Time account this somehow was disqualifying. I said I would transfer it to my savings account if it would help. The leasing agent was absolutely terrible, bad communication and was just useless. They need better staff. Sad as I actually liked the apartment and layout. Plus I'm working now.

Was sold last October to a private equity firm. There are so many rats it’s normal to see them run over in the parking lot. I’m pretty sure the rat king lives in the dumpster. They charge for services that are inconsistent or poorly done and their payment system is convoluted. Also conveniently lost my lease and are making me resign new paperwork.

Updating my review so hopefully it shows up at the top! Living at Bell Rock Springs Apartments has been an absolute nightmare, and the management is the root of the problem. Shakira Jones, the current community manager, is completely unresponsive and unhelpful. Emails go unanswered, issues are ignored and there is zero accountability. On top of that, there have been several management changes in a very short amount of time, which only adds to the chaos and lack of consistency. Our apartment has flooded twice, leaving it unlivable with 80+ degree temperatures and industrial fans running constantly — yet no accommodations or real solutions were ever offered. We dealt with a broken dryer for nearly a year, despite submitting maintenance requests almost weekly. It should never take months (or close to a year) to fix basic living necessities. Nothing in this complex seems to work for more than a few months. We’ve had to replace key fobs, garage openers, and deal with faulty systems repeatedly. On top of that, management constantly requires us to open our apartment to investors, evaluators, and other visitors, disrupting our work-from-home days and personal lives with little notice or consideration. Every issue takes weeks to address — if it’s addressed at all — and the overall leadership is irresponsible and disorganized. This is not what you expect when paying for an apartment community that claims to be professionally managed. Save yourself the stress and frustration. Bell Rock Springs Apartments is poorly run, poorly maintained, and not worth the money.

This is the worst apartment complex on the planet. They tell everyone who tours to leave a review to pad the reviews with 5 stars even though the complex is miserable to actually live in. While living there, the apartment flooded twice leaving us with huge fans and dehumidifiers that skyrocketed our power bill, and made the apartment 85 degrees inside for 8 days. It was unlivable, loud, hot and absolutely miserable. Management did absolutely nothing and did not offer any aid in us having to live elsewhere during this time. The walls are so thin, I could hear my upstairs neighbor cough, I heard every time their dog barked. Management is extremely unresponsive and unhelpful. With the renovations, inspectors and contractors are allowed inside the units anytime they want, and these visits were extremely frequent and disruptive during work from home as they would provide a multi-day window when they would be by making it impossible to plan around. The "renovations" meant the pool being closed during the summer, the gym closed for months, the parking garage unavailable for days on end, painting the hallways that give a headache with the fumes, it's infuriating. They nickled and dimed us as move out despite patching every tiny hole ourselves and having the unit professionally cleaned. This place is horrible. Their management is predatory, and if you are seeing this, NEVER LIVE HERE.
