This property generally offers beautiful apartments and a great location, often within walking distance of campus, with many residents appreciating the resort-style pool and well-equipped gym. However, some residents have experienced issues with recurring maintenance problems, including appliances and gym equipment, and communication from management can be inconsistent, particularly regarding unexpected events or general inquiries.

My experience with this apartment’s management has been extremely poor, particularly regarding the fire alarm system and complete lack of communication. Recently, the building-wide fire alarms sounded continuously for approximately TWO HOURS, from around 9:30–11:30 PM on a Sunday night during a storm. The fire department responded, determined there was no ongoing emergency, and temporarily silenced the alarms, but they began sounding again. When contacted later, the fire department stated that the system appeared to be malfunctioning and that maintenance was needed to access the control panel. During those two hours, attempts to reach apartment management were unsuccessful, and I could not find an emergency maintenance number available to residents. Residents received no communication explaining what was happening, whether the issue was being addressed, or when the alarms might stop. I later learned that staff had eventually arrived, but the person able to access the alarm controls was apparently not onsite. Having an extremely loud building-wide alarm sounding for two hours late on a Sunday night was incredibly disruptive, particularly for residents with children, pets, work, or school the following morning. Even more concerning, this was not the first issue with the fire alarm system. During a previous actual fire-related incident, the building-wide alarms did not properly sound after the alarm was pulled, and the fire department had to evacuate residents door by door. A life-safety system that has reportedly failed to function properly during an actual incident and later malfunctioned for hours deserves serious attention. You would think that after a two-hour incident, management would acknowledge what happened, explain how it was being corrected, or at least apologize for the disruption. I received none of that. About a week and a half later, residents received an email around 9:30 AM stating that fire alarm testing would occur THAT DAY, without specifying when and with no advance notice that I received. Testing has now continued for THREE DAYS, with alarms repeatedly sounding throughout the building and inside individual apartments, sometimes for extended periods throughout the day. The notices have not specified when during the day residents should expect the alarms to sound. What finally prompted this review was management subsequently warning residents that anyone found to have “altered, disabled, damaged, or otherwise tampered with” fire alarm equipment could be held financially responsible. Issuing this warning after residents had just experienced a two-hour alarm malfunction with no communication or apparent way to reach emergency maintenance came across as incredibly tone-deaf. There was still no acknowledgment or apology for how the original incident was handled. Unfortunately, poor communication has been a recurring problem here rather than something limited to this incident. In my experience, calls and emails frequently go unanswered, sometimes requiring residents or prospective residents to physically visit the office to get assistance. I know of a prospective resident who completed an application but ultimately went elsewhere after being unable to reach management for days to finalize the lease. Equipment can malfunction. What is unacceptable is having poor emergency procedures, virtually nonexistent communication, and then warning residents about potential financial consequences without even acknowledging or apologizing for a malfunction that disrupted the building for hours.

I would not recommend living here. The walls and ceilings are incredibly thin—you can hear everything. We constantly heard our upstairs neighbors stomping around, and despite multiple complaints, management was never helpful in resolving the noise. On top of that, it felt like there was always something broken in our apartment. The refrigerator, washer and dryer, microwave, dishwasher, and other appliances all had issues at different times. It really made the apartment feel cheaply built and poorly maintained. The package room is another huge problem. It's always a mess, packages frequently go missing, and many deliveries never even make it into the lockers. Even worse, the lockers are often broken, making it easy for anyone to access them. The gym looks nice because it has a lot of equipment, but a lot of the machines are broken and repairs take forever, if they happen at all. Just this week, both the elevator and the pool were unexpectedly out of service, adding to the long list of ongoing maintenance problems. The most frustrating part was the cost. Rent is already expensive, and after I had already signed my lease, the price increased by a significant amount. For what you're paying, you shouldn't have to deal with constant maintenance issues, unreliable amenities, poor package security, and management that doesn't seem interested in addressing residents' concerns. Overall, this apartment complex charges premium prices but delivers a disappointing experience

I've lived here for over a year, and the quality has gone downhill. Since the treadmills were replaced, they've been breaking down constantly. This month, all three were out of service again. When I went to the leasing office to report it, I was met with eye rolls and barely any eye contact, as if I was bothering them for bringing up an issue that residents deal with every month. I understand the office staff can't fix the machines themselves, but the lack of concern was disappointing. At some point, management needs to address why the gym equipment is constantly broken instead of waiting for residents to keep reporting it. Between the broken amenities, constant staff turnover, and rent increases that seem non-negotiable regardless of market conditions, it's hard to justify paying over $2,000 a month to live here. If you want to pay over $2,000 a month in rent with broken gym equipment, look no further!

Absolutely terrible experience, can’t wait until my lease is up in December. Management is a rotating door, nothing works, no parking garage cameras. And today the fire alarm has been going off for 2 hours and the maintenance guy is apparently the only one with a key. Glad i work at 5 am. We all need to be compensated for this lack of common sense on Ram’s end. And not some bogus gift card etc.
