Do not rent with Scion group or any associated apartment buildings. You will be hit with fees and charges and they will continuously fail to repair or mediate any damages to the property brought up during move in. If you look across the board all Scion properties they al have the same issues. They will prey on foreign and younger students and slap them with atrocious move out fees for normal wear and tear as well as constantly changing parking pass requirements. If you look at any of these reviews anyone saying anything rated five stars ignore it as they offer incentives to those who rate it five stars. I am patiently awaiting the reply from staff to this which seems to be the fasted method of communication with them as the leasing office filters you through an AI assistant and their emails take days or weeks to come through. If you HAVE to rent here, ensure all of your maintenance and information requests are copied and saved electronically. I urge you to look elsewhere and avoid any properties listed on the Scion Group page... theyre rated low by the BBB for a reason.

It’s been a couple years since I have lived there, but I forgot to post my review because I was so angry with this place. To start off, I requested an apartment with no other cats as my cat is aggressive. Not only do they put me in an apartment where there was another cat, that cat had fleas and worms which my cat got infested with as well. Every summer when my roommate went home, I personally would have to get the apartment treated. Then when I was moving out, I tried to get someone to take over my lease and they scammed a lady into signing a year lease instead of having her take over my remaining six months. We did everything that was told to us by the property manager, but all that drama happened. Since she wasn’t able to take over my lease, my roommate had broken into my room and was using it as a spare bedroom while I continued paying for that apartment plus my new one. I didn’t know this until I flew back six months later to turn in my key and saw how damage my room was. I will say the gym and pool was very nice and so was the giant trash compactor on site. My cat did love the outdoor patio. In all, it’s not a bad apartment but management could’ve been better, especially with the roommate situation and having better instructions about people taking over leases

Save yourself the eventual pain and don’t live here. Lived here for 2 years and this place was okay when I moved in. The unit itself was noticeably dirty and out-of-date (hair stuck to bathroom ceiling, dust, dead roaches, rusted fridge, poor paint job, etc) but for the price and the amount of time I knew I’d be there I could put up with it. Actually living there was fine, too, and I never really had issues. It was moving out that makes this review a poor one. They tried to charge me $370 for cleaning and damages when there were ZERO damages or items that needed to be cleaned. In fact, I probably left it cleaner than it was when I moved in. The images they submitted as evidence for the charges were blurry, ambiguous, and genuinely just didn’t show anything that was damaged or dirty beyond maybe some dust on a top shelf that I couldn’t reach and never used. It took several emails and a phone call to finally get my bill reviewed by a manager, and only after I requested an itemized list of exact damages and the receipts for the fixing and cleaning labor and supplies. That magically reduced my bill to $80, after which they completely quit responding when I asked for an itemized receipt again (which, by law, landlords have to provide if requested). I ended up just paying it after that point to wash my hands clean. So, overall, if you live here take extremely detailed move-in photos to fight the inevitable gargantuan cleaning bill they’ll give you when you move out. 0/10 stars if I could.

Edit: within 5 months of staying in this CURSED apartment I had to place over 20 maintenance requests. I have come back from work, several times to find random equipment like a massive blower in my bathroom WITHOUT any notification from management as to what in the world is going on. Even in this short term, I have had to move to another building for a month because there was a massive water pipe leak in my apartment. None of the office or management provided any help in moving there or in moving back to my original apartment. I have had to pay electrical charges for the equipment placed in my apartment to rectify the leak WHICH WAS NOT CAUSED MY ME! It was already pre-existing before I was assigned btw! I was ALSO NOT given any concession for the troubles I went through. Had the WORST experience living here, unfortunately! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, Sorry! The only positive thing: Santonio, McKenna and Christian in the leasing office are wonderful, other than that there was NOTHING good about my stay in Z Islander!!! Initial review: I am enjoying my stay at Z Islander. My AC/heater is causing problems but I know the team is looking into it and it will be resolved soon. I really like the community and my apartment. The common areas are very well maintained.
