Decent layout but everything is showing wear and tear. Just one elevator functioning on the first day back after Christmas break. UF should be able to do better!

I understand that the rooms are small because of the kitchen and bathroom included in the unit, but they are simply too tiny for two people to comfortably share. I loved the private dorm bathroom as it is a rarity at UF, but I would have rather used community bathrooms in order to score a larger room. Also, there is only one minuscule desk in each room, so it is prone to cause internal problems with the two roommates who have to fight for it, because no one wants to do their work in the kitchen. But, being on the 13th floor, we had a beautiful view of campus which I really enjoyed. Overall, was not the worst experience, but I do recommend looking into other dorms if extremely small personal space is a big issue for you.

Rooms are a bit small, so I had to tone down my wardrobe for my first year at UF, but out of all the residence halls, I'm glad I was at Beaty. The people are really what made it, and as a second floor resident, the numerous fire drills didn't bother me all that much.

It's an average living space. Beaty is prone to infrastructural problems, e.g. elevator and plumbing problems as it is quite old. Additionally, the electronic access chips to the building are extremely faulty. The game rooms are a bit run down. I do, however, enjoy the pod market (despite over-pricing). The room size and location to other places is fine.

Functional, apartment-style dorms. Buildings looks like soviet era bunks, but the insides aren't so bad. Plenty of laundry machines so lines aren't a problem. Social atmosphere. Two elevators so floors are accessible. Four stars.
