We have had many serious issues since moving in. There are a plethora of maintenance requests we have had to submit (photographs attached) and many of them are recurring. There is absolutely no (noise) privacy. There is a missing board under the kitchen cabinets, which is absolutely unhygienic, yet remains unaddressed. There were dozens of giant flies roaming the hall (7th floor), left unaddressed for an entire week, during which they kept multiplying. Our drying machine was not functioning for the first week(s). My floor was stained; my bathroom’s marble is cracked. There are several boards absent or unglued— even when glued, they fall again. My fire sprinkler was fully covered in dust. There are so many more issues that we have encountered so far, and I am confident that we have not seen them all yet. The largest issue present is with our dishwasher. We have been assisted by maintenance twice in the past 2/3 weeks. It has not helped. This may present a much larger utility issue, and it remains unsolved. The 4x2 duo arrangement leaves two out of the four roommates without a window. Do not choose this option. Even with the VIP package at the hub, there are so many structural and utility issues that it is absolutely not worth your time to consider. Please look at other options.

is it standard practice to have routine maintenance come by unannounced now with no prior warning? twice now. I’m glad to be receiving routine maintenance but a prior warning for someone entering apartments should absolutely be standard for safety reasons. I had them first enter when I was in the shower not expecting them, now while I was sleeping after a 12 hour shift I get woken up to someone in my apartment. Please start providing notice before having someone enter our apartments, it is far too easy for someone to impersonate maintenance and it should just be procedure to send an email. thanks.

Johnny was a great help to me. He helped with my move in and was very approachable and welcoming. The apartment is also really good and had a good time.

I toured The Hub on 3rd with Bianca as our guide, and she was seriously amazing! She answered every question we had about the floor plans, pricing, and amenities. She gave honest insights instead of just a sales pitch, which I really appreciated.

terrible experience living here! if you move out before the summer, they will still charge you for damages in the apartment common areas if there are people living there over the summer (i didnt sublet, i turned in my keys and wasn’t living there) they charge 50 dollars for normal wear and tear to the walls, which is completely ridiculous. if you dispute charges, you may as well be arguing with a brick wall because the management is not helpful in the slightest. not to mention, they rent out rooms with no windows at all, which violates a number of building and fire codes in the state of florida and is illegal. i asked before moving in my first semester if my room had a window, and they told me it did only for me to find out upon moving in that there was no window, they outright lied to me. the hub is run by a company that owns most of the off student housing in gainesville, and it’s pure evil. don’t sign with them, you’ll regret it.
