Scrolling through these reviews, I was quite hesitant to come and tour this apartment complex. However, as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by the lady named Marieliza, and she was so kind throughout our whole tour, she answered every question that I had for her. She was just overall really sweet. I didn’t see the rudeness that people were talking about in the other reviews!

This is my third year living at Grandmarc and I could not be happier. Management is always so kind and welcoming, I love the resident events they have all the time, and my apartment is SPACIOUS and I’ve always felt safe living here as a girl on my own which I’ve come to realize is super rare from my friends. I will only have one more year here since I am graduating but I’m so happy I picked Grandmarc when I first moved to Tallahassee.

Maddie at the front desk has been absolutely amazing. My friend Richie and I just moved here, and since we’re not from here, everything was new and a little confusing at first. Maddie took the time to guide us step by step through the rent payment process and explained everything clearly. She was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful the entire time. She made the whole transition so much easier for us, and we truly appreciate how welcoming she has been. Thank you, Maddie, for going above and beyond to help us settle in!

With a multitude of options for places to live near FSU, this location is a prime location located directly across Tennessee St from FSU, literally cross the street and your on FSU’s campus. I personally do not live here but have worked with Landmark Properties as a Vendor for needs at their properties including this property. I can say that local Management, Joseph and Rebecca are fully invested at making this property the best it can be but just like anywhere else, there are always struggles. Even though it is not my industry, I feel a comment regarding the Alarms is warranted due to the others reviews that have been left. I can say that if you live in an apartment complex, the alarms going off is something you are always going to have to deal with no matter where you live. Yes, when an alarm goes off at crazy hours of the night is an inconvenience for all tenants due to waking you up, but that system is there for your safety and management can’t control when tenants and/guests activate the system either accidentally, maliciously, or for an actual emergency need. Management can only respond as quickly as possible and then since it is a Fire/Life/Safety system, your everyday electrician or plumber may not be authorized / doesn’t carry the required license/certification (NFPA) to even be able to touch the fire alarm or sprinkler control systems, these systems are complicated with unique parts required, and management is subject to the time it takes their Fire/Life/Safety vendor to respond and the amount of time it can take to get parts/components needed. Overall, I feel that Grandmarc is an excellent option for apartment living and again, local management by Joseph and Rebecca is just an added plus.

currently writing this at 6am after the fire alarm just went off AGAIN and woke me up. it constantly goes off at random times and i always have to peek into the hallways to make sure it's not an actual emergency, which is dangerous in itself bc god forbid an actual fire happens and no one evacuates. i've been living here for almost 2 years now and can confirm this is an issue that they just won't fix, even though they say they're working on it. beyond the annoying fire alarms, my apartment was in poor condition upon move in. the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom were all stained or had big ugly scratches on them. the couch was filthy and i had to spend my own money on couch covers. the dishwasher was rancid and maintenance's solution for cleaning this was to run a cycle using my own dawn dish soap, resulting in me coming home to a flooded kitchen. while maintenance is usually quick to respond to requests, they constantly leave a mess behind and use your supplies without permission. they also will come in and do random jobs like swap out your light bulbs which is helpful BUT they don't notify you that they're doing complex wide maintenance so i'm always scrambling and caught off guard when they bang on my door. the doors to get into the complex are constantly broken or stuck, despite them bringing a guy in to fix the key fobs every few months. it really is a toss up of whether i need to fob into the complex or not because sometimes it's locked and sometimes it's broken and anyone can enter freely. you'd think that after years of having this problem they'd figure out another solution. the last huge inconvenience i've had to deal with since moving in is that they charge for visitor parking now. what used to be free and easy is now a hassle and money grab for no reason. i literally can't ever have friends or family over unless i find other parking arrangements for them because having to pay for parking in tallahassee is insane. i could go on and on about other issues but other reviewers have touched on a lot of them. save yourself the headache and don't move here!
