Evergreen at Southwood

As a mother preparing my son for college over 400 miles away, this process has been emotional, stressful, and honestly one of the hardest transitions for me. Wanting to make sure your child is safe, comfortable, and in a good environment while being so far away can weigh heavily on a mother’s heart. But Kierra at Evergreen at Southwood Apartments truly gave me peace during this journey. From the very first conversation, she was patient, compassionate, understanding, and so incredibly kind. She never made me feel like I was “just another client.” She treated me with genuine care and made me feel like my concerns as a mother truly mattered. Kierra went above and beyond to answer every question, calm every worry, and make this process feel less overwhelming. Her warmth and professionalism reassured me that my son would be in good hands and entering a welcoming environment. That meant more to me than words can explain. In a world where genuine kindness can be hard to find, Kierra was truly a blessing to my family. Evergreen at Southwood Apartments, thank you for hiring someone with such a beautiful heart and spirit. She made a lasting impact on me during a very emotional moment in my life, and I will forever be grateful for her kindness, patience, and support. I love living in this community. The staff are amazing and so are the amenities. I love entering my quiet well kept neighborhood. The only downsides are the paper thin walls and ceilings. You can hear a pin drop. Also the cost of rent and it increases! It’s a beautiful community however, it’s getting too expensive to live here. With the way life has been going, it’ll be hard to keep up with the yearly increases especially while having a family. I can’t imagine living anywhere but here right now unless I buy a home. But not with the rent increasing sadly :(

We only lived here for about a month, but our experience was honestly really positive. From the very beginning, Kierra and the entire office team were welcoming, professional, and quick to help with anything we needed. Even though our stay was short, they made the move-in process smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a place where the office staff actually cares and stays on top of things, this community is definitely worth considering. Thank you again to Kierra and the team for making our short stay a good one!

honestly, giving my honest and full opinion, I was very disappointed because we came all the way from Kansas to Tallahassee and it sounded great at first the lady’s up front hyped us up and we were excited to come down to our new home. we got here on our move in day payed them almost $3000 for move-in fees and deposits just for us to get there get the keys sink was leaking so bad that there’s water damage under the sink and our AC unit was also pouring water from the bottom and it ended up happening twice and when I called emergency maintenance, they picked up and they were at some event. It sounded like or outside, and they stated that they will not be there until tomorrow even though they are emergency maintenance and they’re supposed to be on call 24/7 and I told him while my home is actively leaking he told us to put towels or bowl's under everything and keep it maintained until he could get there tomorrow when they finally came, they did apologize and got the job done but then I had to go down to the office to get them to come back up to finish the work orders that they never touched and the office staff are not very good with communication. I told Kiara about my issues and they were not relayed to her manager and crystal. The leasing agent has done nothing but had an attitude and not help me in anyway. we have lived here for only a month and have had maintenance in our home so much over a lot of things and I voiced my opinions to the office the other day and I stated that I was frustrated and I asked for an explanation and I did not get one. I got nothing but excuses and bare minimum answers. devon was sweet and got my request done after i went face to face to voice my concerns so if you have any issues or concerns, definitely only go through devon Our back door was so bad we have to body slammed it open and our front door is cracked open so wide that it’s warm in our front entrance and water is leaking down our door from condensation the washer and dryer room also was messed up when we moved in. anytime you would start the washer or dryer. The walls would fill up with water in the walls would be soaking wet. we had so many issues moving in and so did our friends and neighbors if your looking for a good long term place to live i wouldn’t recommend because the safety of the tenants and safety of the property itself is not taken care of in a safe manor i was told today that my doors were unsafe and anyone could get in them!! that’s crazy please do better and upgrade your standers and please go through and properly check units before renting so no one else has the same experience anymore. this is my open and honest opinion unfortunately this is the best i could give even the pool everytime i go there bugs filled in the pool but the gym is clean and the office is very clean as well and the amazon hub is convenient and it’s gated but very hard to get packages to your door and the walls are also just painted and not sealed so you can’t wipe anything off your walls if you need to. paying 2k a month for this is a little insaine and the rent should be lowered if the hardware is this cheap luxury means good quality high dollar things not cheap material to make a ikea material home i was so excited but became very disappointed im hoping my experience here becomes better over time !! i would love to see some things turn around for evergreen !!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Evergreen at Southwood! The front office staff is absolutely fantastic—super friendly and always willing to help. They even go above and beyond by holding oversized packages for you in the office. The package management system is awesome too—you get a text notification as soon as your package is delivered, which is so convenient. The garages are a major highlight! They are HUGE—so spacious that you could almost fit two cars. They are impeccably clean and well-lit, making it easy to access your vehicle any time of day. Plus, with two EV charging stations that are always available, it’s never been easier to charge your electric vehicle. There’s also a covered car wash station with a vacuum, so you can keep your car looking spotless with ease. The apartment units themselves are beautifully updated and modern. The community is peaceful, quiet, and well-maintained. I always feel incredibly safe walking around the property, and the dog park is a great bonus for pet owners. The views of the property are beautiful and serene. We previously lived at Evergreen at Mahan, the sister property, which was also great, but Southwood offers even more amenities. Both communities are top-notch, but Southwood truly feels like home. I’m so thankful to live here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to call home!
