Longleaf at St. Johns

Super nice experience when checking out Longleaf. Pool felt like a resort and the gym was much better than I had anticipated from previous apartment experiences. Met with Cassidy for my tour and couldn’t have been happier. Didn’t feel rushed, had my questions answered. Looking forward to meeting some of the others who live around here!

My boyfriend and I just moved in to Longleaf and the experience, from the tour to the move in itself, has been stellar. We happened to drive by one day from Gainesville and dropped in for a quick walk-in and Cassidy was amazing, sweet as can be, and so accommodating. Compared to the other apartments we toured around Saint Johns, the staff at Longleaf really feel like they care about the residents - instead of being just another person to grab in a leasing contract. We absolutely love our 2 bedroom apartment, it feels so spacious and beautiful. Looking forward to the rest of our time here at Longleaf!!

We recently moved in and it has been fantastic. Cassidy and the other front desk staff were very helpful in touring and welcoming us into our new home. We've lived here for a few weeks and we've had no issues. The apartment itself was very clean and everything still looks new, the common areas are all very well kept, and the smart home and mail room systems are cool things we didn't see at other apartments. For those concerned with road noise; the apartments feel well built, we only hear Bartram's stadiums or an occasional car w/o a muffler. However, both are very muffled and Bartram's noise doesn't extend past 8 or 9pm.

I moved here last year due to all the good reviews and the fact that it was a new community. I have been disappointed ever since. As you can see from management's replies to reviews, their canned responses want to convey that everything is great and any issues are resolved promptly if they are notified. This fairytale is not only false, it is the opposite. Reaching out to the office is like talking to a wall. Building access with your FOB/Application is always down (management will say it happens, but is promptly resolved...which is not my experience). You will pay $30.00 a month to take your own trash to the trash chute which is riddled with overflowing trash and always backed up (management will tell you this is only around move-ins/move outs...well then someone is moving in/out of every building, every day, because it is always bad). If the trash chute is full (and it will be), they ask you not to add to it...so now the idea is to just hoard all your trash in your apartment until you are lucky enough to wander into the trash room when it has just been emptied. This trash situation leads to more pests and rodents (don't worry tho, management will add you to the weekly pest control service if you request it so that someone can come into your apartment every week to spray...). Parking sucks, but management will allow you to pay an additional fee each month to have your own parking spot. The grounds and halls smell like a combination of weed and urine (management will say this has never been reported to them and if they only knew they would have resolved it...). Management is in every building and every apartment every couple of months doing mandatory inspections, but they like to say that they are unaware of any of the issues around the community.

Could not say enough good things about this company and the staff at Longleaf. The property is not only brand new but absolutely gorgeous! The amenities are 1st class. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. I have really enjoyed living here. I couldn't be happier with my decision to choose Longleaf at St johns!
