I was sitting on the bench by the building waiting for the bus. I had my bike with me and a lady with a walker was coming down the walk. I moved my bike so she could get through. She asked do I live here and I said no I'm just waiting for the bus and she said well you have to wait for the bus down there because this is for residents only. mind you I'm just minding my own business and not doing anything just sitting there waiting for the bus. I told her this is a free country I can sit wherever I want to I'm not doing anything I'm not drinking or smoking or doing drugs or peeing on the walkway or anything like that I'm sitting here waiting for the bus minding my own business. You are not my mother you cannot tell me where I can and cannot sit. I am 63 years old add too old to be told where I can and cannot sit. If I was doing those things then yes there would be a problem but I wasn't

East tower needs to learn manners. My mom was there 6 months. Manager changed right after she moved in and immediately the new assistant manager(grace) was after my Mom for having 2 cats which was approved by corporate. She paid a double pet deposit as well. The only time I heard from anyone was when the “social worker” Diane called betraying me for her apartment not meeting the cleanliness standard. She was found unresponsive and I only got an email from the manager. No phone call for that! They even had the nerve to be rude and unprofessional with my moms hospice case manager! If your senior family member isn’t as health as Harrison Ford and expected to be 100% self sufficient the ENTIRE time they live there and never need attention from health professionals please don’t make them live there and suffer unfair and unprofessional treatment by the staff

My mother has lived here about 15 years. It has been a little stressful lately while they have been re-fitting and bringing the building up to revised code. The final result has been great.

Efficiencies and one bedroom apartments for seniors living independently. The facility is on a free bus stop, and is a two block walk to downtown Melbourne. Building renovations will be ongoing through 2017.
