I wanted to share my experience for anyone considering moving here, and hopefully spare you. Unfortunately, it was completely disappointing overall. Don’t be fooled by the smoke and mirrors of the apartment tour/office because once you move in, you’ll be disappointed on many levels. One of the biggest issues is the noise. I completely understand that some level of sound comes with community living, but this goes far beyond that. You can hear everything—conversations, TVs, footsteps, slamming doors—at all hours. Our upstairs neighbors were constantly screaming at each other, to the point where the cops were called. We documented numerous occasions of the fights, and addressed it with the office staff multiple times, with the hope of being released out of our lease 3 months early due to the uncomfortable nature of the disputes and that it was scaring our daughter, but was told there was nothing they could do unless we called the police multiple times, and if we wanted to break the lease we would have to pay a fee plus the 3 months of rent. The cleanliness of the property is also a concern. The walkways and parking areas are often dirty, with trash and debris left sitting for days. It doesn’t feel well-maintained, and it really takes away from the overall living experience. Security and consistency are also major concerns. The gates are rarely functioning properly, which defeats the purpose of having a gated community in the first place. The units are frequently rented out to short-term or random occupants rather than long-term tenants. This creates a revolving door of unfamiliar people and adds to the noise, lack of accountability, and overall instability in the community. On top of that, the dumpsters are constantly overflowing. Trash piles up quickly and isn’t addressed in a timely manner, leading to unpleasant smells and an overall unsanitary environment. Overall, the lack of upkeep, poor sound insulation, and ongoing maintenance issues make it impossible to recommend, and will cost the property of responsible and dependable tenants who will absolutely leave. If you value peace, cleanliness, quality, and a place that feels like home please look elsewhere.

Update: The key cards do now work. Adding one additional negative on this review which is the daily email asking residents to write google reviews on the apartment complex. Original: Moved in here recently. Beautiful apartment complex but paying $1800 and we have not had a working key card for 2 weeks. Unable to use any of the amenities unless the office is open and they let you in or someone else is already using the amenities. I have gone to the office multiple times and the issue continues to be handed off to other staff. As discussed in another person’s review, the gates also do not work and have not worked since we’ve been here. Although this is a negative, I guess I have to be thankful they don’t work because then I wouldn’t be able to get into the apartment complex since the keycards do not work. At this point, I have the same access as any stranger walking onto the property. Even if/when this issue is fixed, it has tainted my overall view of the apartment complex. Paying as much money as you do to stay in this complex, issues should be fixed immediately.

I’ve lived at Trillium Apartments longer than anyone else since this property was first built, and I can say without hesitation that this is one of the most poorly managed communities you’ll find in the area. I’m writing this because I genuinely don’t want anyone else to go through what I’ve experienced here. Over the past three years, I’ve had seven or eight maintenance emergencies, and not once—not one single time—has anyone from the so-called “emergency maintenance team” ever come out when they were supposed to. The emergency number they tell you to call is a complete joke. No one ever answers, no matter what time you call. The issue never gets addressed until well into the next day. I’ve brought this up countless times to management, and they know it’s happening—but they do absolutely nothing about it. It’s not a mistake; it’s a pattern of laziness and neglect. My dryer has been broken for over three months, and I’ve submitted multiple maintenance requests. They always show up within 24 hours to “look” at it, but it’s never fixed. Every visit ends with the same excuse: “we’ll have to come back.” I have water collecting inside my dryer, leaving my clothes soaked if I forget to take them out immediately. They told me they’d replace the dryer—but months later, nothing’s been done. It’s been nothing but broken promises and excuses. Then there’s the renewal process, which honestly feels manipulative. I pay around $1,850 per month for a two-bedroom apartment. When they sent me my renewal notice about 70 days before my lease expired, I was only given 10 days to decide if I was renewing or not. My only “reasonable” renewal option was an 18-month lease, because anything shorter came with outrageous monthly rates. Even that 18-month option was higher than what I’m paying now, and they’ve raised the rent every single year. The worst part? If I didn’t respond within 10 days and passed the 60-day mark before my lease ended, they would have automatically rolled me into month-to-month at $4,500 per month. Yes, you read that right — $4,500 a month. That’s over double my current rent. I’ve rented at multiple properties in my life, and I’ve never seen a policy this predatory or extreme. If I hadn’t happened to check my mail in time, I have no doubt they would have trapped me into paying it. This is only scratching the surface of my frustrations with this place. There are so many other issues I could list, but honestly, I don’t have the time or energy to get into all of them. I want to be clear — I’m not someone who normally leaves reviews. In fact, this is probably the first one I’ve ever written. But after years of being here and watching how this property operates, I feel like I owe it to anyone considering moving in to tell the truth: Stay far away from Trillium Apartments. The management is unresponsive, maintenance is unreliable, and their renewal policies are designed to corner tenants into paying more. There are plenty of newer, better-managed communities nearby with fair pricing and actual customer service. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

I have lived in this apartment since 8/30/25. This is my experience after being here for almost one month. The first impression is quite glamorous, especially given the cost of rent. The price is well within reason, the amenities look reasonably taken care of, and the premises seems rather relaxing. The office staff is courteous and helpful. During our initial move in discussions, one of the questions asked to the office staff was in regards to issues with noise complaints from upstairs neighbors. The office person told me that she rarely gets noise complaints from tenants, and when she does, it’s typically resolved with one visit from the staff to the noisy neighbor. If the complaint continues, the office staff will remove the tenant causing the issue. She then explained that she lives in a second story apt here, and seldom has noise issues herself. When she does, they’re easily resolved, as all of the tenants are reasonable people. She did not mention until two weeks after move in that these apartments are wood framed, with no better insulation between floors than a standard two story house. My partner, our three year old son, and myself moved into a first floor apartment to avoid causing noise issues from our son running around. Since moving in, we have been woken up almost every night by our upstairs neighbor. The upstairs neighbor who owns a large dog. The noise throughout the night is almost constant. It makes putting our son to bed a struggle. It is also constant during the day, comparable to a couple of kids playing soccer in their bedroom using a bowling ball to kick around. I have been to the office four times to explain our issue. The staff is very kind and explains they will talk with the upstairs neighbor. Nothing has changed. I have an email paper trail of various times we have been woken up between the hours of 11pm and 7am from excessive noise. Nothing has changed. The upstairs neighbor is violating specific issues in the rental agreement, which I have brought to the staffs’ attention. Nothing has changed. I would not choose these apartments again if I were given the option. This honestly has very little to do with the staff, and more to do with the poor construction quality of the buildings. I am not looking forward to the next eleven months with broken sleep.
