My mom lives here and if you can get in it's well worth it. Large apartments with many amenities.

Not even 30 days after my mother pass I was told 3 different story about how they would help me. Not and I was ask to leave cause I wasn't 62 but on the lease and they changed the rent base on my income had me thinking it's going to be alright not. I had no where to go I also was ask to pay last month rent and pay for a carpet stain that was told by me not to worry about it we can take from deposits how bout it cost 200 plus for a spot about the size of a half dollar really and they never clean it cause 2week after I left some one else move in and they lied to me. 2016 when I lived there with my mom I don't have a clue now.

These apartments serve only the retired community. After my mother was displaced from her home in Puerto Rico, because of Hurricane Maria, we have been searching for places where she could potentially move to in a few months. Laurel Court Apartments is about 2 miles from DeLand's downtown area and it's surroundings have beautiful landscaping. Apartments are usually one bedroom and the community accepts only people from ages 60+. Rent apparently goes along with some sort of sliding scale and eating list is currently at a one year wait. That should tell you something about the place. Good, right? Only downside is that it's almost impossible to contact them by phone and management does not work on weekends, making it a bit hard for me to be able to take my mom to their facilities over the week. But other than that, my mother was able to talk to severa, residents and they all seemed pretty content.

Great place, they keep the property looking great as well as inside. I like how there are cameras and security so if you need to get in you have to call someone or have a key. There is enough parking space and a pull around in the front if you need to unload things. Overall my mom really likes living here and we love visiting!
