Been a resident here for a while now but wanted to give a huge shout out to Marta Diaz. She was very helpful with my renewal and really took her time to make things perfect for me. Thank you Marta for all of your help! Great customer care.
For the price point I am honestly dissapointed. When we came to see the apartments had a confirmed appointment I noticed how crammed all of the buildings are. We walked up to the office to find it to be locked, after waiting 40 minutes we left to drive around the complex. Not only are the buildings crammed, they are dirty. Each unit has a storage bench either for packages or storage and all of them seem busted, that paired with swarms of bugs at every doorway, dogs without leashes, punched out windows, all with a pretty high pricepoint. Overall-the place looks trashy and they disrespected our time :(
I lived at Amara at MetroWest for 2 years and 7 months, and I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before moving here.
The only good experience we ever had was with the old office staff (Anna Maria and Renato). Once management changed, everything turned into chaos. Constant turnover, unhelpful staff, and zero consistency in communication or maintenance.
From day one we dealt with a severe cockroach infestation. We reported it multiple times and were repeatedly told pest control would come. Many times, they simply didn’t show up, even when I stayed home to confirm it. Yet the system would show the job as “completed.” That level of negligence is unacceptable.
Maintenance here is completely unreliable. We had serious water damage after Hurricane Milton — flooding in the patio, water entering the garage, damaged belongings, and black mold growth afterward. None of this was properly handled or resolved. Instead, issues were ignored, minimized, or left unfinished.
We also dealt with ongoing moisture problems and flooring that started lifting due to water damage. We reported it repeatedly and were even told about inspections and possible repairs while still living in the unit, which felt unsafe and unprofessional. Nothing meaningful was ever done.
There were also signs of previous water damage that had clearly been covered up rather than properly fixed, including a bubbling ceiling in the master bedroom.
The dishwasher was unusable from day one due to a strong, disgusting odor. Reporting it changed nothing. During one maintenance visit, a large hole behind the wall was discovered — clearly a major source of both the smell and the roach infestation.
The pattern here is simple: report issues, get promises, and watch nothing actually get fixed.
The leasing and office experience was just as bad. We were treated with disrespect during a transfer attempt, questioned in an inappropriate way about our income, and made to feel judged instead of helped. Communication was unprofessional and at times humiliating.
When we tried to renew our lease, we followed every instruction and submitted everything required. After that, we were essentially left in the dark. No clear communication, no proper explanation, and we were eventually moved to month-to-month without being properly informed — resulting in much higher charges we only discovered later.
On top of all this, the property itself continued to decline: the townhouse pool stayed closed, security was reduced after management changes, and gates were often left open, making the community feel unsafe.
Overall, this place has serious and ongoing issues with maintenance, cleanliness, pest control, communication, and basic accountability. It genuinely affected the health and well-being of my family.
I would not recommend living here under any circumstances unless major changes are made in management and how residents are treated.
