They don’t answer the phone or voicemails while clearly open, and when u speak to different people you will get different answers.

I have spoken to the same guy over and over every single time I call. I have to call MULTIPLE times back to back or else he doesn’t pick up the phone and Oh! When he finally DOES pick up the phone, he never knows ANYTHING. All he does is give me the name and number to people who 9/10 never answer the phone and on the off chance they do answer, which has happened ONCE, they’re rude and unhelpful.

absolutely awful!!! they are allowing 50% of freshman to move in and attain housing while upperclassmen have to fight for a room! they only had 400 beds to give out to upperclassmen the rest went to freshman!!! absolutely disgusting! edit: I JUST FOUND OUT THEY ARE GIVING DISABILITY HOUSING TO ABLED STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT IN NEED OF ACCOMMODATIONS!!! disgusting!

The Housing and Residence Life Office has always been a great help. I usually go in person and 9/10 they know the answers or they're willing to ask around. The desk workers are normally students themselves who understand the stress of being on campus and are pretty nice!

I’ve had very hit or miss experiences with the staff for housing. Sometimes, they offer me information that I would never have been able to find out otherwise. Other times, they offer me completely incorrect information. For example, me and my roommate each asked the same question and got two very different answers. If you want any chance of success, talk to them in-person. All this aside, the housing process at UNF can be very convoluted which makes for a stressful experience. There is always a lack of communication.
