My experience living at The Park at Potenza has been extremely disappointing, and I want to share the ongoing issues we’ve faced so future residents can make an informed decision. When the complex remodeled our apartment and installed new countertops, they left the electrical outlet loose and failed to paint or finish any of the renovation work. Basic details that should have been handled professionally were ignored. The location of our unit adds to the frustration. The master bedroom window sits directly next to a very bright street lamp that shines into the room all night. We’re also located directly across from the trash compactor, which is obnoxiously loud at all hours. To make matters worse, the tennis court is directly in front of our apartment, and people play on it until 1 AM year-round. Maintenance has been one of the biggest and most stressful problems. During the last month of summer in 2025, our AC broke and remained broken for three weeks. It took the complex nearly two weeks just to provide a temporary window unit, and although they promised a second unit for the other bedroom, it never happened. Anytime we brought concerns to the front office, we were met with attitude rather than help. On top of that, our dishwasher frequently fails to start, and the drain in our kitchen sink has had ongoing issues. Our kitchen sink leaked for months, and the master bathroom sink also leaked. When our refrigerator broke, they replaced it with a used fridge that smelled strongly of cigarettes—meanwhile, they were installing brand-new refrigerators in apartments for newer residents. It took them a month or two to finally replace ours with a new one. Maintenance quality is extremely inconsistent. Jimmy, in particular, has been useless—he repeatedly has to return to re-fix the same issues because he never resolves anything fully the first time. When other maintenance staff came, issues were handled correctly in a single visit, which makes the difference in skill and effort very clear. The management’s handling of our lease renewal was just another example of their poor communication and questionable practices. They attempted to raise our rent, but after we submitted our notice to leave, they suddenly offered to keep the price the same if we renewed by a certain deadline. They never needed to raise the rent in the first place, and this last-minute offer felt careless and insincere. The one positive is that the size of the apartment itself is great. Unfortunately, it’s not worth the stress, inconvenience, and constant frustration of dealing with unfinished renovations, noise, poor maintenance, and unhelpful management.

Today I want to express my gratitude to the maintenance team, especially to Carlos, a tireless worker who, being mindful of his responsibilities, provides excellent maintenance service. In my apartment, the washing machine broke down (it was replaced) and then the dryer. After cleaning the hot air exhaust ducts, Carlos noticed it wasn't working properly and decided to completely disassemble the unit until he found the problem, working diligently until he got it up and running again. And if that weren't enough, he returned, as he always does, to follow up on his work. I want to highlight his dedication to resolving the breakdowns that can occur every day, because not all condominiums have people who are so aware of their responsibilities and committed to their work. In my opinion, the company should take better care of employees like him.

Jessica the manager is an all star! I love living here which I have for over a year. However I had some issues with my unit and Jessica was able to rectify all of them for me in a quick and timely manner. She took care of all my needs and you can tell she genuinely cares about the residents and helping them. She's also always looking for things to make the community more engaging like food trucks or music. She is really just an all around great person and manager and their management company is lucky to Have her! She deserves a raise!
