Portiva Apartments

Portiva is a great community to live in, keeping in mind that no place is perfect. Both the office and maintenance staff are excellent and provide prompt service whenever needed. My two-bedroom apartment is very comfortable and has plenty of storage space in the kitchen, bathrooms, and walk in closets. The gardens, green areas and facilities are well-maintained.

Portiva is an awesome property if your goal is to receive almost NONE of the amenities that are promised online & by the staff. We moved in after being given lots of false promises by the staff. Gated apartment? Think again. The gate stays open before sunup to after sundown 7 days a week. The pool might be open every other week if you’re lucky. Don’t expect to get much, if any, time in it during the summer. The hallways and stairwells have reeked of urine and have been crawling with bugs for almost two years straight. They make you pay for “shared electricity usage” in the common room even though the coffee bar and vending machine are consistently empty(what?). Oh, and the fire alarm goes off with no warning for tests multiple times a week. For years. If the office staff sees a resident coming in, they will literally hide in the back offices until you leave. The property management will harass you in your own home for leaving a bad review, telling you to take it down. If they send you an email/text letting you know some type of work is happening in your building/apartment, go ahead and assume they’ll be there a few days to a week after your scheduled time. Maintenance might address your ticket if they feel like it as well. Not to mention the management letting their favorite residents run the property into the ground while coming after you for the smallest infractions. The walls might as well be made of straight plaster. You WILL hear every noise above, around, and outside your apartment. You should absolutely second guess moving into the Portiva before signing anything. The management when we moved in was half-decent, but ever since, the property has been on a very consistent decline.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would like to recognize Kenny for the outstanding service he provided. My air conditioner had been out for nearly 12 hours during an extremely uncomfortable time, and Kenny completely turned the situation around. He spent more than four hours working diligently to diagnose and repair the problem, and he never once seemed rushed or frustrated. His determination to get the job done right was truly impressive. What made Kenny exceptional wasn’t just his technical skill—it was the way he treated me throughout the entire visit. He took the time to explain every step of the repair process, answered all of my questions with patience, and made sure I understood exactly what was happening. His professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail gave me complete confidence that my AC was in the best hands. In today’s world, it’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about both the quality of their work and the people they serve. Kenny went above and beyond every expectation. He didn’t just repair my air conditioner—he restored my peace of mind. Employees like Kenny are the reason customers continue to trust your company.
