This place is horrible! If I could give a zero star rating I would. I disputed an extra charge for carpet replacement on my deposit. I have emailed, called, texted, and attempted to contact in person. They have been consistently ignoring me. I requested to speak with upper management with whom they refuse to give me contact information for. Which further makes me believe they didn’t even communicate with them on my dispute. They close their office HOURS before the actual scheduled office hours. The parking is horrible. They take a month and a half to complete maintenance request. The place is has absolutely HORRIBLE management. They are so unprofessional. I truly believe 3rd graders could manage this place better than the current people in place.

The only thing this apartment complex is good for is the convenience. Everything else is such a hassle. I lived in the 4bdr townhouse. A day or two after moving in I noticed mold on the balcony door and put in a maintenance request for it to never be tended to, it took maintenance a month to fix our dryer when it broke for the second or third time and the leasing office offered for us to dry our clothes in the office but would close the office hours before 5:00. On several occasions i’ve tried to go to the leasing office for various reasons and the office has been closed hours before their set closing time. I’ve never had a problem with someone breaking in my car but 2 of my friends have so make sure you lock your doors!! It is very open so just watch your surroundings.

I see the owner NEVERRRR responds to feedback. ONLY FEEDBACK UNLESS ITS GLOWING. This isn’t- because your team is fraudulent. Can the owner or decision maker please reach out and leave a with a direct line of communication? Please advise who the owner or corporate care is.There is no listing as to whom or how one can reach anyone besides the leasing agent. I am still trying to reach someone to speak to directly regarding contracts and deposits being withheld. My deposit has NOT BEEN REFUNDED . Repeated calls and buck passing has been the constant response. No Corporate management is aligned to hear or engage in financial commitments. Legal representation will be the only resolution. On site management playing a big role.

My daughter was a JU student living for a year at Jackson Commons. Pros: Very spacious apartment Close to campus Cons: Anyone can enter the apartment area, transients wondering in, it really needs to be gated. Growing feral cat problem. Maintenance staff a revolving door. Don't be fooled by student housing, there are many non-students living in the complex. Filthy apartment upon move in. My biggest grip has been repeatedly been complained about on many reviews. Getting the security deposit back is ridiculous and as others have noted against the law. Took over 2 months. Tried to deduct additional fees (beyond the $120 mandatory cleaning fee) although it was left much cleaner than we found it. Did eventually agree to refund the entire amount but again took over 2 months. For those needing it, I did find out the management company over the complex is located in Orlando- Westpoint Partners LLC / Tramell Webb.

My time with Jackson commons was a very unpleasant experience. My lease ended July 31st of 2024 and at this current moment I am still dealing with not only their extremely unprofessional management but also the struggle of even receiving my deposit back. It has been 2 months going on 3 and I've received little to no communication on the matter. This isn't even the worst I've experienced with Jackson Commons. Back in June 2023 when i first moved in they told me that they would assign roommates based on interests, Majors, Likes, etc. but that was far from the case. The first day I moved in and walked through the door I immediately smelled Marijuana smoke; Also bear in mind they promote themselves as a smoke free property. While in the process of moving my things into the room i run into one of my roommates whom I later found out wasn't just removing the batteries from all the smoke detectors to smoke in the house but also was a Squatter. I went to the leasing office to speak with property managers who told me they would handle it yet nothing changed. The squatter not only stayed on the property but was also close friends with my other roommate. The other roommate in question also was an animal abuser. He had a cat would wasn't even a year old and would constantly neglect it by leaving old spoiled wet food in its bowl, Not cleaning up the piles of feces in its litter box that would smell the whole house, and the worst was how he would physically abuse the cat. Out of fear for my own safety I returned to the leasing office asking if i could be swapped to a different apartment and not only did the property manager charge me $200 to move but they also then put me into another apartment that was just as bad. The new roommates I had seemed a lot better at first until my roommate brought his girlfriend from Chile to live with him there. During her time there he would constantly abuse her and she would do the same. Their arguments would go into until 2 am some nights. My roommate While this was all happening the complex was also going through an issue of cars constantly being broken into and once again out of fear for my safety I left the complex to stay with my parents until my lease ended and I could get out as early as possible. I would say the only good thing that Jackson Commons has done for me was teach me to make sure I read more reviews before signing a lease.
