HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. STAY AWAY. I lived at this property for a combined total of about 2-3 years, and the only reasons I stayed were because the rent was affordable and I loved being close to the water. Two years ago, these were ran a little better. Other than that, this has been one of the worst renting experiences I’ve had. The biggest issue is the HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. They do not answer the phone (try for yourself), rarely return voicemails, and emails take forever to get a response, and you’ll still be at fault because they don’t pick up the phone. If you need maintenance, you’ll probably get a response faster than you ever will from management. The property manager, Rachel, made my transfer process a nightmare (apparently she handles the transfers). I requested to transfer before the end of June because I knew I’d be out of town when my lease ended (7/6). Instead of clear communication, I got constant delays and different dates. I was told I could transfer at the end of June. After saying I could move then, Rachel pushes it back to July 13 stating the unit was not ready. Why say I can move a certain date and don’t do your due diligence to uphold your end or communicate effectively. I had to double-email to get responses at times or wait over a week for a short reply. Even took off work early to make it to the office some days just to be given the runaround, front desk would say only Rachel could support with transfers but she was never there when I would come. I completely lost confidence in the process. Because of management’s lack of communication, I had to move all of my belongings into a storage unit while I searched for another place to live (for sure didn’t want to stay in the same unit). That was an unexpected expense that could have been avoided if they had simply communicated. I called in ahead of the 13th to let them know I decided on somewhere else and because they don’t answer or check voicemails OR RETURN ANYONES CALL, I was told I’d be charged for rent up until today. Take accountability. You all inconvenienced me and made me spend money you all don’t care about, just to turn around and inconvenience me with charging me for more rent on a unit I left! You will not get another dime. They also leave apartments sitting dirty after people move out and only clean them right before the next tenant moves in. After living here for years, I’ve seen it happen over and over again. It’s disgusting and probably explains the recurring bug issues and a big mold problem they need to tackle before they end up on the news. They’re quick to add fees to your account but incredibly slow when it comes to HELPING residents. They seem to forget that their tenants is what keeps their business going! People move out just as quickly as they move in and I’m surprised I stayed as long as I did (really because I loveee being near the water but at what cost?) When my lease ended on July 6, I moved out, left the keys, and left a voicemail because I couldn’t make it to the office due to work. As usual, no one responded, yet they still tried charging me additional rent. If management gets online trying to dispute this review, I’ll gladly post the screenshots showing exactly how long it took them to respond while I was trying to transfer. The emails and timestamps speak for themselves. The affordable rent and waterfront location are the ONLY reasons I stayed as long as I did. Everything else, especially the HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, is reason enough to look elsewhere. If these properties were ran better, better management, tenant appreciation, something.. it could be better. Move here and see for yourself.
