Our home for the last 3 years. I would say its a convenient place to live especially when you work at shands or study at UF. 10/10 for location. It is not perfect at all but when Ronnie became the manager he made sure all are being seen and heard. Also, I guess we are lucky that our neighbors though it changed every year, they were disciplined and quiet. Which I would say the only downside of oakbrook is its thin walls and if you have loud neidghbors. Over all, I would recommend oakbrook to residents who are seeking a home! It was a pleasure living there and grateful for all the memories. I commend the Maintenace people too for their great work and being reliable anytime you need them.

I have never felt compelled to write a review for an apartment complex before living here--but this past year living at Oakbrook was incredibly frustrating. Upon move in, my roommate and I were not given a mail key until about a month into our lease. I also was not given a key to my individual bedroom, with no timeline on when those keys would be given to me. The management felt incredibly disorganized; at least once every two months they shut our water off for "maintenance" purposes, and the water would be shut off for hours at a time. There seemed to be constant landscaping services, including Saturday mornings at 8AM, which was inconvenient for the weekend. I have spent the last few months studying for the Florida Bar Exam, so this landscaping schedule made it very difficult to concentrate. When certain community projects would be happening, such as paving or re-painting the parking lots, we would receive a notice to move our cars and be forced to park far away from the building; however, there was never any indication that the actual projects were completed--our cars just had to be moved. Additionally, I found it incredibly frustrating that when residents wanted to have a guest over, we had to go to the office for a parking pass and it cost $5 a day. It was very inconvenient to plan having guests around this constraint because the office was not open 24/7. Now that I have finished my lease, my roommate and I were also charged a cleaning fee that took away our entire security deposit without being given a clear reason for what the cleaning was for, or the reason for deducting from our security deposit. As for the positives, the location was great and very close to campus as I was finishing my last year of law school. The maintenance was always on time and very friendly. That being said, I had issues with my AC, my internet, and my fridge all within the same year.

Horrible experience trying to sign a lease with the staff, donβt trust these bot comments, the staff is unresponsive, you call and it goes straight to a call center, they will never call you back. In the process of trying to tour and sign a lease here, the management caused multitudes of problems, their website wasnβt clear about what units were left, my tour was scheduled at the wrong time, they sent the wrong lease, didnβt fix it, didnβt link to the right roommate, didnβt mention that they had no spaces left for whole unit purchase and just tried to put us in independent apartments, which I only found out after calling repeatedly, never getting through to management, and being forced to go their in person only to be told every reassurance that theyβd fix things and send the right lease and that they did have space etc etc was lie. Do yourself a favor and do not try and sign here,
