If you’re into resort-style urban living, love being in the thick of downtown action, and want the convenience of walking to restaurants, theater, and the waterfront, CityPlace South Tower hits the mark. It blends polished interiors and standout amenities with a vibrant location all making it one of the most upscale condo options downtown. That said, if you’re sensitive to street noise or trying to maximize value per square foot, it makes sense to compare neighboring buildings like City Palms, One City Plaza, or The Strand before choosing.

I own a condo there. Highly recommend. Ask for Miss Ivy.

City Place South Tower is absolutely amazing. It is located in the heart of fine dining, Kravis Theater, the convention center and hotels. The pool and gym on the 9th floor are stunning, accessible, and has easy access. Building management is considerate and always willing to go above and beyond. The valet parking guys open doors for guests and residents. That is unheard of in almost every other building. You walk across the blvd and you can dine like a king in several different restaurants. I have been an owner in the Tower for 10 years and I absolutely love it!

This is not a good place to rent. The HOA board and management run the building as if it were a prison or their little fiefdom. I had the worst experience here. There are cameras all over the building that management will use to spy one residents and send you fines for things like having a guest after hours, or bringing the wrong equipment from one area of the gym to another area of the gym. And there is nothing you can do about it. Once the management asked me if I would move my car to the street, and then they had it booted, immediately, for no reason.

The rooftop pool is nice but CityPlace is dead no more movie theater, comedy club, and half the restaurants are gone. There’s no on-site guest parking valet only. Sauna and steam room was nice but broken half the time I was staying there. The water pressure and internet/tv signals weren’t great either. There’s nothing to do around cityplace anymore but the location is good if you work downtown or use Brightline
