Living on campus means you’ll be able to step out your front door and be in your classes in less than five minutes. When you want to explore farther afield, catch the bus to the city centre from the stops around the UC campus. Find out more about Christchurch’s past at the Canterbury Museum, or update your wardrobe in the trendy boutiques of Re:START Mall.
In between adventures, come home to University Hall to study, socialise and chill out in the privacy of your fully furnished room. After a long day of lectures, unwind watching your favourite TV shows in the communal lounge, before heading back to your room to get started on your assignments at your desk. You can head to the study room if you need to use the Wi-Fi, and you can log onto the university network in the 24-hour computer lab.
When you’re done, let off steam with a session in the free gym. If team sports are more your thing, challenge your neighbours to a game of volleyball on the all-weather court, or head to the tennis court to practice your serve. At the end of the match, freshen up with a quick shower back home and wash your sports kit in the on-site laundry facilities.
At dinner time, fill your plate with delicious food in the fully catered dining room, and sit down to eat with your friends. If you feel like a change of scene, go out for a meal on Riccarton Road instead. Try Buddha Stix for sumptuous Thai fusion, or @Tony’s for authentic teppanyaki.
