Each morning, walk less than five minutes from Wellesley Student Apartments to your classes at the University of Auckland. After, you can wander over to neighbouring Albert Park to check out the exhibitions at Auckland Art Gallery, or pick up some groceries from the nearby Countdown supermarket. If you feel like exploring farther afield at the weekend, walk 20 minutes and hop on a train at Britomart Station.
After an action-packed day, come home to your fully furnished apartment and catch up with your housemates on the lounge chairs in the living area. Then, trade your favourite recipes in the kitchen and cook dinner together, and eat around the dining table as you chat about your day. You can freshen up with a shower in one of the two bathrooms when you’re done.
Head to your room when you need to get started on your work. Grab your books from the shelves and sit down at the desk to study. You can connect to the cabled internet if you need to ask your classmates a question on Skype. Then, put a wash on in the building’s laundry facilities and head to the common room to relax.
Hang out with your neighbours in front of the 42-inch Sky TV, or challenge them to games of foosball, table tennis or pool. Make your way to the courts and play basketball or volleyball if you need to let off steam. Wellesley Student Apartments run regular social events, including balls, dinners and fun trips around Auckland, so you’ll find it easy to make friends. There are residential assistants to help you if you have any questions, and you can rest easy with on-site night security staff.
