When you move into Duck’s Village, you’ll have no trouble getting to the University of Oregon. Take the car-free bike trail over the Willamette River or drive to school in about five minutes. There are also frequent bus lines running to campus that stop a block away. If you have classes at Lane Community College, you can get there in around 10 minutes by car. For grocery trips to Trader Joe’s or WinCo Foods supermarket, you can sign up for the car sharing program that’s located on site.
Grab your laptop and connect to the high-speed internet as you step out on your balcony. Walk back into your furnished apartment to fix a snack in the kitchen. Place your utensils in the dishwasher, then grab a book and enjoy a soothing soak at the indoor spa while you catch up on studies. Or if you want to kick it up a gear, hit the sand volleyball or basketball courts.
After meeting up with friends in Downtown Eugene for a late brunch, come back and park in a free space. Hang out by the pool while dangling your feet in the water or light up one of the barbecues to enjoy an afternoon chill out session with your neighbors. If you still need to do chores, you can squeeze in a load of laundry as you set up a game of pool or ping pong in the clubhouse. Or call on the staff for any maintenance issues. As the day winds down, print out any last-minute projects for school in the computer lab or go for an evening workout in the 24-hour gym.
