Unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions defined in your Licence to reside shall have the same meaning in this Cancellation Policy
Room Deposit Payment is required withing seven (7) working days of making your booking
Cancellation applies from the time Room Deposit Payment is made and Licence to Reside is Issued
Should you cancel your booking within 48 hours of paying required Room Deposit you will be refunded your deposit in full (€400).
Cancellations after 48 hours but before 18th August 2020 – Subject to Date Change in line with COVID-19 Pandemic Developments
Should you cancel your booking after the 48-hour period but prior to 18th August 2020 you will be refunded your deposit less an administrative charge of €100.
Cancellations on or after 18th August 2020 - Subject to Date Change in line with COVID-19 Pandemic Developments
Should you cancel your booking on or after 18th August 2020, your right to terminate the Licence will be governed by the specific terms of the Licence and/or, if applicable, in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Acts. Without prejudice to those terms, any request to terminate the Licence must be made by giving at least twenty (20) days’ notice in writing or by e-mail to the General Manager at the Swuite Residence email@example.com for consideration
Where a right to terminate does not apply, you will remain liable for Room Fee payable under the Licence until a suitable replacement resident be found. The Swuite ISA (Galway/Dublin) will use reasonable endeavours to re-licence the room However, the onus will be on the Licensee to find a replacement applicant.
Should a suitable replacement resident be found you will in accordance with the terms of your Licence be entitled to receive credit for the balance of the Licence Fee paid (less your Deposit of €400.00 paid by you in advance which corresponds to the period in which the room is re-licenced)
Students who do not officially cancel their booking or attempt to cancel within 7 days of arrival date will forfeit their entire deposit of €400 and the student will be held liable for any accommodation fees incurred, as the room cannot be given to another student while it is still held for the first student.
First year applicants
If you are not successful in obtaining your place at your chosen University, don’t worry, we are flexible.
We will release you from your Licence provided following criteria are met:
· Cancellation is submitted in writing or by e-mail to the General Manager at the Swuite Residence firstname.lastname@example.org before 18th August 2020
· Copy of rejection letter/CAO from the University that shows that you did not get on a course in the same city is forwarded to the General Manager at the Swuite Residence
On receipt of these documents we will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation and refund your security deposit (less €50.00 administration fee) along with any first semester payments received in advance.
