Area
In the most central location in Paris, ile de La Cité, resides a calm village like retreat surrounded by the river Seine and with beautiful city views. The island itself is the larger of the two islands in Paris and is home of the great Cathedral Notre Dame, the Palais de Justice and the amazing Place Dauphine.
Walking north to join the Marais and south for the Latin Quartier and St. Germain all while steps from the Louvre with fabulous views of the Seine, this is truly the location of fairytales!
Taking a simple walk to explore the area, allows one to enjoy the stunning architectural beauty and history Paris is known for, discover some of the world's most popular museums, and visit both wide avenues filled with some of the finest shopping or tiny streets filled with typical cafes and markets - all while experiencing the bustle of Parisian city life. Staying at this apartment is sure to offer you the Paris stay you've always dreamed of.
Apartment Layout
This apartment epitomizes everything about Paris that makes us go weak in the knees. This is the Paris experience that has inspired countless painters, writers and singers over the decades and centuries. Indeed, this peerless dream location hasn't changed much in the few hundred years since. Although classified in the Ile Saint Louis geographical neighborhood, this apartment is on the adjoining Ile de la Cité, sharing the island with Notre Dame, and linked to Ile Saint Louis with a little foot bridge.
The view, through no less than 3 windows, is truly breathtaking, taking in the Louvre Museum on the left and panning over to the stunning Pont Neuf bridge, which crosses the river Seine, its the perfect location just to go for a simple walk. Let's not forget the location: being as central as you can be and having the best of Paris on your doorstep.
The interior is a match for the view, with a full floor-to-ceiling renovation by the in-house design team.
The living room retains the period mahogany fireplace and mirror, with it's authentic patina. The exceptionnally high ceilings bring a wonderful sense of space and volume. The palet of colours is carefully controlled and sophisticated, with many detail touches throughout. Thoroughly modern amenities and equipment mean that charm is not at the expense of comfort.
The bedroom is cosy and features a gorgeous beamed ceiling. The bedroom is courtyard-facing and hence perfectly quiet. A small dressing room is off to the left, and an ensuite shower to the right.
This apartment is in a private building that still belongs to a single family, and has in fact been owned by that very same family since the 1700's! This is unheard of today and really adds to the historic feel of this exceptional apartment.
As designers of the Louvre River View, we are very excited to be offering you this apartment and feel its perfect for that special Paris stay you've always dreamed of.
