You won’t ever have to worry about missing the big football game at Grove at Waco, because your student housing is just minutes away from McLane Stadium. If you’re not interested in sports, there’s plenty more to keep you busy. Learn about the history of Texas and the American West at Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, or get together with friends for a weekend trip to Cameron Park Zoo, where you can see orangutans, Sumatran tigers and komodo dragons. Afterwards, get some fresh air on the trails at Cameron Park, then head back into town for southern comfort food at Sascee’s – try the fried catfish followed by peach cobbler.

Grove at Waco is a 30-minute walk from Baylor University, but if you’re short on time you can get to class in eight minutes when you go by bike, or even less if you take the private shuttle bus straight to campus. If you have your own car, you can drive to class in around five minutes and keep your car in Grove at Waco’s on-site parking facility when you’re done for the day.

You’ll look forward to getting back home to your student housing, where you can take a dip in the resort-style pool or catch up on your reading on the deck. Take a break from your studies and challenge your neighbors to a game on the sand volleyball court, or shoot some hoops on the basketball court. Escape the Texas sunshine, and keep in shape in the 24-hour fitness center, or meet friends in the coffee bistro.

Back in your fully furnished apartment, freshen up with a hot shower in your private bathroom, throw your gym gear in the washer dryer and choose a new outfit from your walk-in closet. Spread out your books on your desk, connect to the high-speed internet and start work on your latest assignment, then make your way to the computer lab to print out your notes.

With work out of the way, you can organize a cookout on the outdoor grills, then sit beside the outdoor fireplace or fire pits and swap stories about your day. Later, play pool in the tavern-style game room, or make friends in the clubhouse.
