With just a few hundred students and only one undergraduate course - BA History of Art - the Courtauld Institute is content to do one thing and do it very well. The college and its art collection are both housed in Somerset House, a striking Neoclassical building on the banks of the Thames. It’s within walking distance of the various student residences in Southwark and Bloomsbury, while Marylebone, Notting Hill, Camden and Spitalfields are all a short tube journey away.
