The Retreat at Central Texas Marketplace

Daughter lived here. I'm a contractor and have some experience with proper mold removal. They had a water leak upstairs and it flooded my daughter's apartment. Black mold developed and the remediation was a joke. They just sprayed Kilz on ceiling with the mold and didn't clean the mold off 1st, AS THE LABEL INSTRUCTS. THEN they only removed the bottom half of the wall the mold was in, and left the mold above it untreated. All of this was protested at the time and the complex manger just ignored it. They tried to force my daughter back in the apt by saying they where going to charge her rent in the emergency apt they provided. The air had not even treated with an ozone machine yet. The maintenence guy said it will take 24 hours and again the manager insisted just a few hours is fine. ONLY at the insistence of the maintenance guy, that it takes 24 hours , did the manager relent. After 5 years of on time payments this is how they treat their residents. So my daughter moved out since they did a crappy job at mold remediation.

I have lived here for years and love it so much. It's quiet and the staff are super friendly. The maintenance crew (Isaac) are really friendly. I have a crazy work schedule and always request for him to show up at a particular time. He always does it and gets everything fixed really fast. I look forward to many more years here.
