-10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND my S/O and I have lived here for 2 years while she was Attending Baylor University to start things off first in the 2 years we have lived here the swimming pool has not been opened a single even after receiving emails stating renovations were underway and the pool would open yeah we got those emails back in march it’s December now also upon moving we didn’t know until we had our first apartment inspection our furniture was outdated and we were supposed to have new furniture put in this Happend in around April as well and the apartment stated we would be getting new furniture since ours was outdated but they have not lifted a single finger to assist whatsoever still stuck with the same old crappy furniture which is years outdated compared to apartments Nextdoor more than 5 times since moving in the Apartment our AC unit kept going out and during the summer you know how hot it can get and in the winter of course we would like to stay warm but having to to wait up to a week and a half just to have cold or hot air is just unacceptable we had to sleep with our windows wide open just to hopefully be a little more cool in the summer they discovered the issue and said the unit had a leak instead of fixing the leak they instead just filled up the AC with Freon and told me to let them know when it goes out again instead of just fixing the leaking piece?!?! And yes the AC did end up going out multiple times after that also the gates never work so people loiter outside in the parking lot quite often! But the worst part maybe the fact that people have party’s and stay outside drinking till the AM’s leaving beer cans outside throwing up in the grass and on the concrete walkways and the only thing the apartment did to resolve the issue was send and email if your not stepping on trash or throw up in the grass then it’s prolly dog droppings because no one picks up after their animals either

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and in the case of The Grove apartments, it’s true. The size of the rat poop and cockroach droppings are second to none. Additionally the dog crap in the common spaces with the green moat that they advertise as a world-class pool is a wonderful touch. I can only ethically recommend this apartment complex if you are fully vaccinated, have zero autoimmune deficiencies, and a large stockpile of bug killer, bleach, and prayer.

A couple of months ago I had made a review about my maintenance issues that I was experiencing at the time because the issue was not getting addressed. I went back and deleted it after the repairs were done and I’m grateful that they were complete. But unfortunately property management decided to hire a 3rd party vendor to complete the work. They went into my utility closet and took all the contents out to the side so they could do the work which is fine. Here comes the issue I have after they were done instead of using common sense and putting the belongings back where they belong they just decided that they were going to throw everything away. Ultimately they threw away roughly $100 worth of paint and supplies that I had in there for storage. I told the assistant property manager Liam what happened and he told me if I’m seeking reimbursement to email him what was thrown out and go from there. I did just that waited a little over a week for a response nothing. finally I had to ask if there was an update on the situation. Liam emails me back shortly after and basically said that there was “no record of management saying they would cover the costs”. Liam is two faced as hell he will tell you one thing in person but in email he will just deny what was actually discussed. I tried reaching out to the corporate office but they don’t answer their damn phone and will send it to voicemail. Moral of the story is they hire and defend thieves. But that’s okay honey I have bank statements to back this up. I will not be renewing after this experience.

I’d give a ZERO if possible. False advertising at its finest. They showcase a sparkling blue pool in their ads, but in reality it’s closed, swampy green, and completely unusable. Don’t be fooled by their photos. There is an ongoing list of problems with this place . UPDATE: Response to owner, Lacey here. I want to clarify that my review is accurate and based on direct experience as a current resident’s parent and visitor. The pool has been green and closed since early August, yet your advertising still features images of a sparkling blue amenity. That is misleading. My feedback is not about personal identification, but about transparency for those considering this community. Instead of dismissing concerns by questioning residency, I encourage you to address the maintenance and communication issues raised here and in many other reviews.

Do NOT move here. I will absolutely not be renewing my lease here based on one months experience. To start, there is a long list of smaller problems this place has that allude to the larger problems that are safety, cleanliness, and management. The facility gates (advertised as electric and always closed) are never closed. The fact that the gates remain opened to anyone at all times is concerning, and the staff here have all given me a different story as to why they don’t close. They state online that as a resident you must have a parking permit or else your vehicle is subject to being towed at your own expense. However, upon move in we were told they “ran out” of parking passes and would notify us when they received more. Still nothing, but I’ve watched other vehicles be towed? The furniture in the second unit they moved us to after an incident was destroyed, and the manager Liam swore it would be replaced the next morning. It was never replaced, despite my asking multiple times. There are many small problems within the unit we’re currently in, but NOTHING compares to what happened on the day I moved in. After driving 10 hours in one sitting to arrive here before the office closed, I picked up the keys to my new apartment and walked in to a very beaten up unit. Before bringing in any of my belongings I decided to video and picture the entire unit so I couldn’t be charged for any damages that previously existed. No more than 10 minutes into me being there, I look down and realized I’m covered in FLEAS. The entire apartment and the one next door were infested with fleas so badly that after standing there between 5-10 minutes I was covered in flea bites head to toe. I sprinted to the office and it took them 3 hours to assign me and the next door neighbor new apartment units. All they offered me was a half ass apology, a bottle of water, and $100 off the next months rent. I was assured that they had no idea of the infestation, but over the summer I’d been called and notified by the female manager that the carpet in the unit was being fully replaced for “quality assurance”. Yea right. They knew it was infested and attempted to replace the carpet and leave whatever fleas were left to die over the summer. Well they didn’t die, and I haven’t seen anything be done to those apartment units. I guess they’ll wait another few months and hope that did the trick! The staff and managers here are liars!! I’ve been lied to on many occasions by multiple different staff members and BOTH managers. There are too many things to even include in this lengthy review. The rent is cheaper than other units in the area, but I’d pay way more just to not have to live here!
