The Bruin

So far I've had a pleasant experience living here, and decided to renew my lease for another year. Christi is great, and the maintenance crew is also super helpful. It's close to Baylor University, so that's a big plus for me as well.

I moved in at the april of 2025 with my small but growing family. Christi the manager was the ONLY saving grace of The Bruin, whether she is magic or just truly nice is to be determined... However the property CANNOT keep a maintenance man for longer than a month usually, usually with maintenance requests to always being left open or closed without being worked on. I paid my full rent for a 2bd 2.5 bath and one of the full baths were unusable the entire lease duration! Adding my ac was out for most of June and July (during this point I gave birth and had a cesarean section) giving me a very bad heat rash and infected incision and making my family rent motels some nights just for some relief. Once the ac was fixed our second floor roof started flooding and falling in leading water to go to the first floor of our unit. That was fixed 3 days later. Please see the photos attached. While my husband and I did hit hard times and christi was gracious with us beyond belief. The property owners and management team are lacking and do not care about their tenants. You are a dollar sign and if you care about literal simple human comforts FOR THE SAME PRICE go next door? Or right down the road. The bruins are the apartments to avoid in waco texas.
