Flats on Chapel has been a wonderful experience. The management, Nadja, was attentive, kind, and so helpful through my leasing and move. Crystal is such a sweet soul to work with in person and on the phone. Flats are extremely blessed to also have Martin and John on their maintenance team. They were informative, quick, and friendly. With my move in, I submitted several maintenance requests, and every single one of them were completed within 24 hours. Each individual working here is kind, gracious, and professional. I recommend Flats on Chapel to everyone.

The apartment itself is nice. The community is quiet. Maintenance requests are completed in timely a manner. The place is now under new ownership. The prices of rent and amenities have increased. (more than doubling for amenities) They have been updating the place… These updates are nice but inconvenient. The material takes up the already limited guest parking leaving us with next to no place to park as they paint. I’ve had multiple nails in my tires and paint on my car from when they were painting the carports. Luckily I saw it right away and was able to get it off. The landscapers leave the property looking nice but sometimes skip the play ground leaving weeds as tall as my knee caps (tho to be fair, it doesn’t take long for them to get that way). The playground gate is still broken and the spring toys there have been removed leaving behind cement blocks with bolts sticking out of them. Not sure if they’ll replace them, remove the blocks or leave it as is. The playground has been repainted including the metal stairs to the slide which gets too hot under the sun. It contains a slide, seesaw, a pull up bar, and swings. (Smilar to the black metal doors to the apartments that have burned my kiddos a few times) The top manager in the back office (blonde) is polite, direct, and effective. The other manager, Crystal, however, has been incredibly passive aggressive every time I’ve had to deal with her. She’s also been flat out rude to maintenance staff in front of me a few times when they came into the office and asked her questions. This normally doesn’t bother me so much as she usually still fixes the issue. During my last experience with her, she was dismissive saying there is no issue because she couldn’t see it on her end, kept interrupting me, and claimed the problem I had with the app was a “personal issue” (the app won’t let me update the phone number through which I receive texts such as the OTP.) When I was visibly annoyed, though still vocally polite, at the fact that she kept cutting me off. She asked me if I was upset. I said “I’m a little irritated, that’s all” she asked “at me? I’m trying to help you” I said “ I do need help, however you have interrupted me multiple times while I tried to explain the problem, wouldn’t let me show you what the problem is, and told me it was a personal issue. You can’t help me with a problem you won’t listen to.” She then stated that she doesn’t have to help me with “personal issues” then proceeded to let me know that she’d “put this in the file” and did not solve the issue. I’m paying more for less. In conclusion: the place is great as remodeling will eventually end. Maintenance works well. The office staff is hit or miss depending on which staff member is available to you. Happy apartment hunting!

This review is for Northland. I’ve been living there for five years now, and I’m writing to express my satisfaction with the improvements made in management, communication, maintenance service, and overall experience. The management has shown significant improvement. They are now more accessible, making it easier to get in touch with them. The communication has also improved, and the residents feel heard and valued. The maintenance service has greatly improved. It’s easier to reach the maintenance staff, and they are doing a much better job. The rent has been remain same .The flats on Chapel are now charged at a more reasonable rate, making everything much easier and more manageable. The staff shortages and other problems have been addressed by the office. They have hired more maintenance employees and ensured that the residents are heard and valued. The residents continue to pay their rent and other bills on time, and the staff is available to help them if they need it. I would suggest that Northland continue to treat the residents well. I am pleased with this positive review. I hope that Northland continues to take action to maintain the improved situation for the residents.

I have been here 2.5 years; I rented sight unseen from out of state. We just changed over management companies and just the short time they have been here I am seeing and enjoying the improvements. I wasn't a fan before, but I made it work. Changing things can be expensive but I understand they are trying to improve our community. They do communicate on what they are doing, and I haven't had an issue knowing ahead of time. If you make the time like I do to talk to the office face to face you will find your needs are met, communication is key. Kristall has been the one person I tend to run into, and she always has a smile on her face and will sit down and discuss concerns and gives you pointers on how to get them resolved. I normally have nothing good to say about management companies with apartments, but they are doing a great job so far. and deserved a shout out.

I have lived here for about 10 years and have endured three different companies as property managers during this time. The new property managers are from Northland.com. and although they have been here just for a short time, they already have made some changes to the complex that are bringing the complex up to modern times. The new office staff has been great and courteous in my dealing with them. A big shoutout to Kristall Annis who has helped me with my work orders and has answered multiple questions with her outstanding customer service and her pleasant personality.
