The Fitzroy San Marcos

I just moved in during the summer and this is what I would say is my first “adult” apartment. The property manager and Sierra have been amazing. I’m a nursing student so I basically live at the office and they always ask my friends and I exam and ensure we always have study snacks here. The apartment itself is so pretty and exactly what I need! The ONLY negative is that SOMETIMES the wifi is slow but that’s to be expected and nothing that is limiting my studies as the office always has wifi. The amenities are so nice here as well. The valet trash people, maintenance and the whole office are so kind! Sierra is always around and helping me out! A one of a kind place truly !

I honestly loved living at The Fitzroy San Marcos! The apartments are super nice and modern, and everything always feels clean and well-kept. 🥰🥰🥰🥰The staff are really friendly and always willing to help out with anything. The amenities are great during my stay. I used the gym and pool all the time! It’s also in such a convenient spot but still quiet and relaxing. 🙏🏽Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed in San Marcos. Highly recommend!

This whole parking thing was my last straw. Between the very absent manager, the insane fees for things that don’t make sense, and the parking fiasco I will not be renewing my lease and would not recommend this place to anyone. They charge you a “community fee” when the pool is always closed and the grills don’t work. They closed off almost ENTIRE parking lot for a week with one days notice and towed everyone that couldn’t move their car in that time at the car owner’s expense. We have absolutely nowhere to park except on the street almost a MILE away and keep getting tickets for being parked on the street. I almost got a fine for putting a box in my trash can. Mind you you can’t put trash out unless the valet guy is here or you’ll get a fine you also can’t have trash in the floor or you’ll get a fine so if you have more than 1bag your screwed. I work night shifts and sleep during the day and I’m not able to put my trash out at the times that the guy sometimes shows up so I very rarely get to actually use the trash service that I PAY FOR. Also the young front desk lady is incredibly sweet and trying her best to learn but the property manager is NEVER there and is very unhelpful when she is. Most of the questions we have can only be answered but her and all she’ll say is “just email me” but when you do she doesn’t answer.When I very first moved in I didn’t know there was a door to the mail room on the outside of the building because I was brand new to this facility. The property manager saw me through the window and didn’t come help me. After me standing out side for a while trying to figure out how to get my packages so I could go to bed and she came out side to yell at me they were closed and when I tried to ask how I get my packages she closed the door in my face and I had to wait till the other young lady showed up so I could ask. I really did not want to move again but there is no way that I can justify staying here with the way management is. The apartment itself is fine but the management and fees are running the place into the ground. Remove the unnecessary fees and the absent manager and it’s golden. It’s should be noted that the apartment gave people discounts to give good reviews and people are still leaving. Both of my neighbors have left for the same reasons.
