Slate Creek at Westover Hills

I’ve lived here for a few months, though I am often away for weeks at a time. Overall, it’s a very nice community. Some neighbors are friendly, some are not, which is to be expected anywhere. My reason for three stars is management. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but professionalism and basic courtesy matter. One manager was very welcoming when I first moved in, but now I no longer feel that same sense of welcome. I’ve even reached a point where I sometimes dread coming home. Neighbors are quick to complain about noise, even during the daytime. I hear people talking loudly, yelling, and dogs barking, but I don’t report it because that’s part of living in a shared community. When there were complaints about my unit, I addressed them. However, the way management handled it was disappointing. Being told at my door to “calm it down” felt dismissive and unprofessional. It’s not just what you say — it’s how you say it. I did receive an apology after raising the issue, but it shouldn’t have had to get that far. This is my home, and all I ask is to feel welcome and respected. I pay just like everyone else here, and we all deserve to be treated fairly and professionally. I’m hoping to change this rating in a few months.

Slate Creek has been an excellent place to live. Monica Garza in the front office is so helpful and friendly, and really cares about the residents. All of the staff are very professional and communicative. The maintenance team is so kind, helpful, and comes immediately each time I call them. Highly recommend to live here!

From the very beginning of my apartment search to my move-in day today, Monica G., the assistant manager, has gone above and beyond. Her professionalism, honesty, and dedication to serving this community made a huge impact on my decision to apply at Slate Creek. She’s been accessible every step of the way—answering every email and every question, always making sure I felt informed and at ease. The property itself is incredibly clean and well-kept, which speaks volumes about the pride and dedication of the entire Slate Creek team. The amenities here are also wonderful—two pools, well-equipped gym, walking trail/picnic area and a pool table/game room in the clubhouse. Also, the sweet move-in basket waiting for me in my apartment was such a thoughtful touch—it made an already smooth experience feel even more welcoming. It’s clear that residents are genuinely valued here, and I’m more than happy to be joining the Slate Creek community!

If I could copy & paste everything about Slate Creek at Westover Hills I would, this location checks alll the boxes. The only reason I am leaving is a move out of the state. Communication has been on point from the start. Jocelyn is the leasing agent that assisted with my application and she was so helpful, professional and courteous. It doesn't stop with her as everyone else on the team is also professional and WILLING to help. The maintenance crew are super quick and efficient. The grounds are always clean, plenty of space to go for a walk and pet friendly. Minimal noise if any which is always a plus. The surrounding area is nice and I definitely felt safe going for walks in the neighborhood. Highly recommend to anyone looking for their next home~

I absolutely love it here. I left a review a couple months back, but I couldn't find it, so I'm here to leave another. I couldn't be more grateful to Angie, her team, as well as the Regional Managers for allowing me to put a Tesla charging station in my garage. I lose hours every week trying to fight back and forth through traffic just to charge my car, and having the peace of mind to do it at home is a game-changer for me. Thank you Slate Creek! Best move-in decision I've ever made 🙏🏾
