Slate Creek at Westover Hills

I’ve lived here for a few months, though I am often away for weeks at a time. Overall, it’s a very nice community. Some neighbors are friendly, some are not, which is to be expected anywhere. My reason for three stars is management. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but professionalism and basic courtesy matter. One manager was very welcoming when I first moved in, but now I no longer feel that same sense of welcome. I’ve even reached a point where I sometimes dread coming home. Neighbors are quick to complain about noise, even during the daytime. I hear people talking loudly, yelling, and dogs barking, but I don’t report it because that’s part of living in a shared community. When there were complaints about my unit, I addressed them. However, the way management handled it was disappointing. Being told at my door to “calm it down” felt dismissive and unprofessional. It’s not just what you say — it’s how you say it. I did receive an apology after raising the issue, but it shouldn’t have had to get that far. This is my home, and all I ask is to feel welcome and respected. I pay just like everyone else here, and we all deserve to be treated fairly and professionally. I’m hoping to change this rating in a few months.

Slate Creek has been an excellent place to live. Monica Garza in the front office is so helpful and friendly, and really cares about the residents. All of the staff are very professional and communicative. The maintenance team is so kind, helpful, and comes immediately each time I call them. Highly recommend to live here!

I live here currently and it's nice and quiet. it cost me $1170 per month for a 1 bedroom on the third floor (usually the cheapest option) but after living in a $700 roach and mold infested shack on the south side I was willing to pay the price for a nice area and a clean apartment. I don't really have any complaints but I will tell you to be aware of the raccoons that come to the trash cans at night sometimes. they never attacked me or nothing but I just find mammals with thumbs frightening

Just moved in and so far so good. Office is kind and helpful and maintenance got to my requests in 1-2 days which I really appreciate. Quiet and perfect for me :) also Jocelyn has made the move in process super easy !
