Renter beware! I lived here for just over 3 years (February 2022 - March 2025). This was my first apartment so I was not sure what I was getting myself into and wish I had done more research. It did not seem too terrible until the complex was taken over by Willowbridge. I had roaches from the day I moved in to my apartment - both the German little roaches and the bigger ones on occasion. My dog and cat, despite being on flea treatments, also had fleas it felt like 90% of the year. I only seemed to be able to get rid of them for maybe 4-5 weeks at a time and then would have an infestation again. When asked about indoor treatment since I paid a monthly pest control fee, I was told it would be an additional fee and I would have to stay out of the apartment with the dog and cat for at least 8 hours. Since moving, I have not had any issues. Multiple cabinets and cupboards did not close correctly from the day I moved in until the day I moved out. The linen closet in the hallway was never able to be fully shut. There was water damage under the kitchen sink. The cupboards under the sink in the second bathroom did not close correctly. A pipe burst in my kitchen and when trying to wash dishes, was leaking into my downstairs neighbors apartment. Almost every single wall plug was loose. I lost frozen meat 2 or 3 times from the plug falling out of the wall while I was at work. I had planned to move when my lease was up in March 2024. In December 2023, I received an offer from Oak Terrace to renew for $759 per month. I electronically signed the renewal offer. On 1/18/24, when I questioned why the new lease agreement not only reflected a larger rent payment than what I had been paying and not the $759, but also reflected an increased pet rent for my dog and cat (who are emotional support animals - verified by a letter from my primary care physician). The excuse I received was "We are not sure how the system generated that one but we had to void due to amount and dates were not approved." Throughout my last lease, they also tried to charge me pet rent multiple times because the site they use, Petscreening.com, did not think that my signed letter from my primary care physician was acceptable enough. The A/C in my unit went out multiple times - I am not sure how many times but once was for long enough that they had to install a window unit in my living room. It normally happened when I was at work so would not be home until 6-6:30 in the evening and the apartment would be 85*+. I would put in a request that night and would not see maintenance until the next day or sometimes even 2 days after I put in the request. My dog and cat were consistently left in the apartment (with windows opens, fans on and thankfully they were smart enough to stay in the breeze) for hours on end, even when requests were marked as urgent. Not necessarily the apartment's fault but in the 3 years of living there in a middle, 2nd floor apartment, I had multiple sets of noisy neighbors on both sides. Not regular people moving around, "get over it, you live in an apartment" noise. This was, what sounded like, things being hit or kicked into the wall, running something hard up and down the shared bedroom wall, loud music to the point I could Shazam a song and it would let me know what they were playing. And most of this happened between the hours of 11 pm - 2 am. Outside contractors hired by the apartment would use my paid for, designated parking spot.

Juan our maintenance tech always does excellent work and is available as soon as he gets done helping other tenants. He has great customer service skills and always greets us with a smile. He's even come to the rescue after hours when we had emergencies. He and Misty our apartment manager go out of their way to be here for all of the tenants at Oak Terrace Apartments. We feel very welcome here. Thank you and God bless!!!

First of all I wanted to say i enjoyed my entire 6 months staying here....and here is why. • Fantastic Maintenance! • Outstanding Crew and office workers! • Quiet • It's near everything San Antonio has to offer. • Thick walls. • Kind neighbors. Let's talk about the Maintenance, first of all they are very nice people and sometimes come fix what you're having issues with the same day you put in a notice for it. Example: I needed my air filter replaced in my air conditioning unit because it wasn't keeping my house cool like it should. So i made a report and the maintenance man showed up at 10 at night the same day and replaced it for me. He even went the lengths to check my air conditioning's freon levels. He was very kind, we even talked for a while after he was finished with what he needed to do. Next let's talk about the office staff, Amy for one was the person who handled most our stuff paperwork wise and every time we had an issue she handled it kindly and quickly. She was a very thoughtful kind person. she made sure to make sure we knew when things like the water or electric were to be worked on. we never had an issue with the office and I've dealt with my fair share of bad office workers. This place is a jewel in the rough and worth looking into! Next lets talk about the quiet area, yes its next to a highway but i hardly ever heard it, the neighbors you have there are also quiet and kind, I never had an issue with any of my neighbors being loud or obnoxious. Let's talk about location next, It's dead center in the heart of San Antonio There's an HEB not even 2 minutes away which has everything you'll ever need. also a gas station and plenty of places to eat out at! Oak terrace isn't even 15 minutes away from some of the malls the city has to offer. If you love to explore and go out on the town but still have a quiet and not far place to live, this is it! Thick walls! I don't think i ever heard one of my neighbors once! you can play music late at night and still have no problems with the neighbors! I personally loved this factor simply because i'm a night person so i played music and played games at night and never had an issue! All the neighbors are super nice, I've stood outside and talked to some of my neighbors for a hot minute just joshing it up. It's a good place for either making friends or even keeping to yourself! So all in all i loved this place, price was good, location was good, office workers were outstanding, and the complex as a whole was amazing! Thank you guys again!

My first apartment! I loved it I lived there for 9 months and it was terrific! Pool is always clean, no roaches, everyone in the office is so nice!! They definitely made my first apartment experience enjoyable! I was relieved to move in to these apartments without any issues after reading horror story reviews for other apartments. I fell in love with the cute complex the first day I saw it even after visiting other complexes I couldn’t get this one out of my head. So sad I had to move out but I will hopefully be back soon! Thank you Misty and staff for the wonderful time spent there!💖
