La Tierna Apartments

I would not recommend these apartments. Before moving in, I spoke with the leasing office over the phone and was very clear about what I was looking for in a community. I specifically asked whether there was a large population of young adults/college students, and I was told there was not. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience at all. Since moving in, I’ve consistently seen large groups of younger residents engaging in disruptive behavior, especially around the pool area and in the parking lot. The property was also marketed to me as “luxury” and very strict in terms of rules and enforcement. However, that has not been reflected in reality. For example, residents are supposedly required to wear $75 pool bracelets, yet there is no enforcement whatsoever. The pool has often felt like an unmanaged party space, with issues like broken glass and overcrowding. In just one month of living here, I have already received multiple emails from management addressing various incidents on the property. This raises concerns about overall safety and the apparent lack of security presence. Additionally, there seems to be an ongoing issue with cigarette use throughout the community, to the point where management has had to send out mass communications about it. To be fair, the property itself is visually appealing. However, it does not live up to the standards or expectations that were communicated to me prior to signing my lease. Overall, my experience has been disappointing, and I do not feel that this community reflects the “luxury” environment it advertises.

La Tierna is a beautiful property! The maintenance team are very helpful and hardworking, they always make sure everything gets resolved as soon as possible, the pool is always looking great too! Which I appreciate! 😊 Ernan is also the best!! He’s always saying hello and very welcoming and making sure we are doing good!

I came to visit a family member who lives here, and during that visit my car was broken into. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about this place. For a property that looks “modern” on the surface, the lack of real security is unbelievable. The gate system is basically useless—people come in and out like it’s public access, so it’s no surprise theft keeps happening. There’s no sense of control over who’s actually on the property. What’s worse is management’s response. From what I experienced and what my family member has told me, you don’t get real help—just generic emails and empty statements about “patrols.” I didn’t see any meaningful security presence at all. If I can’t even visit without worrying about my car getting broken into, imagine living here full-time. For the amount residents are paying, basic safety shouldn’t be a question—but here, it clearly is.

I’ve lived here since it was Presidium, and it’s been a downhill disaster under the new management. Sure, the cabinets and tiles are nice—enjoy that while your car gets broken into. They’ll send useless emails about issues, but there’s zero action. Noise complaints? Ignored. Security is a joke. Back then, every resident had their own gate code—we could control who entered. Now, everyone knows the same gate code. It’s a free-for-all. I’ve had to leave my car to open the gate while random people lined up. They’ll talk about patrols, but I’ve only seen them in summer, just making sure non-residents aren’t using the pool. They never guarantee your safety or your property. If you want a pretty façade with no security, be my guest. If I’m paying this much, I expect to feel safe
