Flats at Big Tex

I seriously regret moving into this place. There is no sense of security. The building is easily and freely accessible to non-residents as they only partially installed access locks and NOT on the main points of entry (stairwells and elevators). The doors that do have access locks are poorly calibrated and do not always fully close. So, of course, car break-ins are common and packages are stolen regularly (yes, San Antonio has a high crime problem, but it is appalling here, especially considering the price point). Apparently, the whole place only has one security camera, which, of course, never catches anything. Meanwhile, building management is busy with superficial esthetic changes like name rebranding and pool furniture, but neglects the most important thing: security. It's a shame, because the location is great, the residents are friendly, and the people at the front desk of the leasing office are courteous and helpful.

I’ve had a great experience living here so far. The management team is professional, responsive, and quick to address maintenance requests and work orders. Any ticket I’ve submitted has been handled promptly. I’ve also noticed security regularly patrolling the property, which helps create a safe and comfortable environment for residents. A special thank you to Mr. Rondell and Sierra for their outstanding customer service. They are always attentive, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to assist residents. Overall, this has been a great place to live, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-managed community with excellent staff.

Every step of becoming a new tenant was seamless and enjoyable. I love my new apartment! Coming home every day is such a joy. Shout out to Sierra in the leasing office for making the experience wonderful!

I would not recommend living here. Management only seems to do what is convenient for them and is very slow to address maintenance issues. We’ve had problems that took far too long to be fixed, and communication is often frustrating. To make matters worse, vehicles are towed very aggressively, and my experience left me feeling that the towing practices are unfair and more focused on making residents’ lives difficult than helping the community. Instead of working with residents, management seems more interested in enforcing rules when it benefits them. Overall, the lack of responsiveness, maintenance concerns, and towing issues have made living here a very disappointing experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this apartment complex to do their research before signing a lease.
