Farm Haus

I waited until we had spent several months here before writing a review because I wanted to be very honest about my experience here. There has been a lot of turnover of staff here which has made for things falling through the cracks and some headaches in getting communication back from the front office, but one consistent person is the head of the maintenance team, PJ, who has helped us with several issues within our unit. I give him five stars absolutely. He has dealt with so many issues with our AC, our irrigation system, our water pressure and water heat, our drafty windows and everything in between. He is always so kind and happy to help, even when it is 1000° outside. He truly is the reason we stayed. We felt safe here, our neighbors were all kind and pretty much kept to themselves (there are a couple hoarders and messy folks, but I feel like that is going to happen anywhere). There was a lot of barking dogs, but aside from one or two all seem really friendly. Parking is a STRUGGLE here. Each unit does have a garage, but unless you have nothing in it, you will not fit two cars in it and will need to get lucky on finding street parking after work. There are very limited street spots and they do tow without notice if you park anywhere but the marked spaces (most units do not have a driveway large enough to park a car). The gym was fantastic and felt well maintained and clean. The pool was a great temperature and was cleaned regularly. The location was pretty good for us. We ride bikes and trail access is less than a mile away. There is coffee right around the corner and a few options for food within walking distance. Easy access onto 1604. Traffic and highway noise is quite loud - we bought those foam boards to try to damper the noise around our windows. There is a lot of people who think they are extras in Fast and the Furious so be prepared for that noise at all hours of the night. There are a lot of irrigation covers missing in the lawn and next to driveways so do not let your kids or dogs run in the grass as they may fall in one of these holes (has happened to both our dogs). And not just one or two, they’re EVERYWHERE. It is challenging to get in and out of the complex if you’re coming from either direction. There are two entrances to two different complexes right next to each other and ours is right after the other, which means a lot of people try to pull out in front of you when you’re signaling and trying to pull into the complex, and it does exit onto a one-way, which is kind of annoying, but we’ve become experts at making U-turns. Bottom line - I like the place. The price is steep, but it seems like it is getting more expensive everywhere. Take your time, ask questions and tour the place before signing on the bottom line.
