This community offers a welcoming and well-maintained living experience with friendly, responsive staff and convenient access to local amenities. Residents often highlight the clean grounds, attractive landscaping, and a variety of appealing amenities like the pool and fitness center, contributing to a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. However, some past residents have noted concerns about move-out charges and the condition of older units, so it's wise for prospective tenants to thoroughly document their apartment's condition upon moving in.

I lived here for several years for the convenience only. If I could rate negative stars, I would. The manager rarely is able to answer questions, because the person who handles that isn’t in office at the time. She is sometimes nice or sometimes rude, snarky and eye rolling. There have been some really good office people in the past, but they never lasted long. The other office staff are only nice if they are passing by in a cart with a potential renter. Maintenance is a group of macho dudes who may or may not complete their work and may or may not come back when they say they are going to. Some don’t know English, so it’s impossible to get questions answered. They don’t have any direct oversight, so they can do what they want. The property is dark in a lot of places at night and the walk-in gates don’t lock. The dumpster area is left unlocked as well. There have been numerous break ins and homeless people walking around the complex. Forget walking through the grass cause there is usually dog waste in it, and no one picks it up. You can hear if your neighbors have an argument, so hope to have quiet neighbors. If you live downstairs, you will hear stomping if they aren’t quiet walkers.

I would give 5 stars to my actual living experience. The pool and the apartment were very special and I wish I would not have left!! However, months after my move-out, Cortland Management Company told me that I owed a what I thought was fairly large amount ($600~), considering I lived in and left the apartment in great condition. The charges were for replacing the carpet in both bedrooms (I presume) due to three areas of pet damage in the master bedroom in areas my dogs could not have possibly reached. My bed was over one of the spots, a low dresser was over another one, and a small cabinet was over the third. After I explained this, they said the damage was still my responsibility. I ignored repeated emails to collect that stated that the damage WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY. After 2 months, their representative offered me a compromise of paying $500 for damages the previous resident left. Just because they didn't install new carpet before I moved in (which was very dirty by the way) but pulled it up after I left does not make me liable for the damage. Show me a 12" high dog that could/would fit and go under the bed, a dresser with about 6" of room under it and a cabinet with no room under it to urinate. Please consider this an honest review, as it is. I always believed that the "held security deposit" story would never happen to me, but it did. Well not quite because I made a deposit with Jetty which was non-refundable. So there was no deposit to pay Cortland for the damage that I did not cause, it was just out of pocket. Beware everyone, it's a great facility but you'll pay after you move out for damages someone else caused! Moving homes is stressful and expensive enough without false accusations being made and the prior tenant's damages being attributed to me. They know they have you when they want to find cash because if you don't pay, you'll get a reduction on your tenant score for the future if that matters.

This apartments are very beautiful. I just hope that management is pretty good cuz when there's good management there's good apartments. The management means a lot because if there is bad management then their apartments are not going to look nice and that one has caught my attention. I would like to know how much a three bedroom cost and two baths and connections for washer and dryer

I wouldn’t do it, I have been waiting until the end of my lease to write a review. The onsite management and corporate office don’t take ownership for anything. Operating with excellence is not their strong suit. And when they make mistakes like providing wrong information they barely apologize. I’ve had 3 major issues since moving here 2 years ago which I intend to write 3 separate Google reviews for each issue. But trust me don’t do it. I’ve lived in great places where the community managers actually worked to ensure they had happy and well informed tenants. Unlike here where she closes her door and acts like she’s some untouchable celebrity and has her “people” handle things that is beyond their pay grade. I moved here two years ago from a Willow Bridge community not because I wanted but it was a must because I needed to relocate for my daughter to be closer to her school. After coming from a community where everything was done with excellence from maintenance, to the leasing agents and especially the management team I know what it’s supposed to look like and this is not it. Go somewhere else, trust me. I’ve talked to neighbors and it’s not just me. Sometimes these places thrive on people that don’t want to move and would rather deal with the devil they know. I’m grateful to finally be leaving.
