I toured The Maxwell over the weekend and spent a full hour speaking with Leah, who was incredibly generous with her time and knowledge. During our in-depth conversation, she walked me through the property’s policies, procedures, and various “what if” scenarios with clarity and transparency. Leah’s responses were not only detailed but also honest, which gave me a strong sense of trust in the management team. In addition to Leah, I also had the opportunity to interact with Michael, the Property Manager who was equally professional and well-informed. His insights and approach further reinforced the positive impression I had of The Maxwell and its staff. Throughout my visit, I met several current residents who spoke highly of their living experience at the property. Their satisfaction, combined with the professionalism and expertise demonstrated by Leah and Michael, made a strong impact on me. Based on everything I learned and observed during my visit, I can confidently say that The Maxwell is a well-managed, welcoming community. I have no hesitation in leaving a five-star review, and I would seriously consider making this property my future home.

I’ve really enjoyed living at The Maxwell. The community is quiet, well-maintained, and the amenities are top-notch. From the gym to the shared spaces, everything is thoughtfully designed and kept in excellent condition. What really makes the difference, though, is the front office team. Michael and Leah are absolutely magnificent — friendly, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure residents feel at home. I couldn’t ask for a better place to live.

I strongly advise anyone considering moving here to think twice. In the year I lived at The Maxwell, I was away for more than half of the time — yet during the months I was actually here, the elevators were constantly broken. This wasn’t an occasional inconvenience; it was a persistent, long-term problem that made daily life frustrating and exhausting. Even worse, one of my very important packages was stolen from the property. I had to file a police report, but the investigation went nowhere because the property has absolutely no security cameras. That means if something is stolen, there is zero chance of recovery or accountability. You’re completely on your own, and the management provides no safety measures for residents. To make matters worse, when I moved out, I was hit with unreasonable charges for damages that were pre-existing and for a “pet stain cleaning fee” despite never having a pet in my unit. When I requested proof, the burden of evidence clearly fell on management, yet they still attempted to bill me for these baseless charges. Between the lack of basic security, the ongoing maintenance failures, and questionable move-out billing practices, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you value safety, reliability, and fair treatment, look elsewhere.

Leah is an absolute gem! She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, answered all my questions with patience, and made the whole leasing process so easy and stress-free. Her knowledge of the property and genuine enthusiasm made me feel confident in my decision. If you’re looking for a place, Leah’s the one to talk to she’s professional, approachable, and truly cares about her clients. The leasing office was beautiful as well. 5 stars all the way!

***Look somewhere else*** you may be better off finding a home in a cleaner, better maintained, and better managed apartment complex. Living at The Maxwell has been utterly unpleasant. Following are some of the reasons why you may want to stay away from this place. The blaring fire alarms go off several times a year, sometimes even twice a day & last for at least 30min. There's no reason for what's triggering it, at times it's not even weather-related. There's a major issue with the building & management won't be transparent about it, or is able to fix it. The elevators are often broken & are not repaired until weeks after, so you have to bring your grocery bags up the filthy stairs. The common areas are not well-kept, the hallway walls & stairs are stained with dirt, the brown paint on the balconies is peeling off. There is usually trash overflowing in certain areas, which during warmer weather attrack huge flies. Dirty matresses, old furniture & appliances, and overflowing dumpsters in the middle of the road are a daily occurence. The front is understaffed, and it's very difficult to talk to someone when calling in, it's especially frustrating when one needs help and no one answers the phone. The move-in process is disorganized and stressful. I barely got in the request to have my apartment cleaned the evening prior to my move-in day. Although the new management has brought some positive changes, some major issues continue, see the pictures below.
