We lived in this housing complex for five years, and unfortunately our overall experience was very disappointing. The most frustrating aspect was the unprofessional and often rude behavior of the office staff. Communication was frequently poor, and concerns raised by tenants were not handled respectfully or promptly. During our time there, we experienced several issues that left us feeling unfairly treated. For example, we discovered a crack in a window that was clearly not caused by us, yet we were charged $450 for the repair. There was no reasonable discussion or effort to investigate the matter fairly. On another occasion, I lost a package and emailed the office to ask for assistance. I received no response. When I later went to the office in person to inquire, I found out that the package had been sitting there the entire time. No one had bothered to notify me, despite my attempts to contact them. Finally, when we moved out, we thoroughly cleaned the apartment and left it in good condition. However, management still attempted to charge us for alleged damages, including a claim that we had damaged the ceiling, which was completely untrue. It felt as though they were simply looking for any possible reason to keep additional money. After five years of dealing with these kinds of issues, I cannot recommend this complex. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and unfair charges made living here a very negative experience. Abshir

To summarize my review, this place is a dump. I lived here for 3 years, and man did it go downhill quickly. Firstly, there is only one trash compactor, and it is constantly so overstuffed that people will leave trash outside piled up. Trash and furniture will also be outside of the "bulk area" because the complex will charge you to unlock that area to throw anything away. There is trash everywhere throughout the complex making it look so dirty, smell, and attract bugs. Secondly, the front office staff is unprofessional and rude. I had a package stolen and they told me "we can not do anything about that" while rolling their eyes at me, even though I had photo proof of what happened. They also will give you the runaround for getting your security deposit back, and then are rude to you when you ask about where your check is. One of the employees said to me in an email "we do not control the mail" when all I wanted to know is the confirmation that a check had been sent. We did not get our check until 60+ days after we moved out. Thirdly, good luck getting a maintenance request done. When we first lived here the maintenance was great and helpful. Then a new company took over and nothing was ever done. Our A/C unit would turn off every hour because water would collect so much to the point that mold was growing in the utility closet. I contacted them multiple times, and the solution was to dump the water out... This made our bill ungodly high. Lastly, the area is starting to be unsafe. People speed through the parking lot like it's a Nascar race, yet will also let their children play in the same parking lot and hit your car with balls and toys. People will do drugs and drug deals in the parking lot as well. On the 4th of July people were lighting fireworks in the parking lot right next to people's cars. The complex lets just about anyone live here and no one respects other people's things. The last month I was living there I witnessed a domestic violence dispute in the alley outside of the complex. When I contacted the police they never came. The last full night we were there we also heard a shooting right outside on Fisher Rd. Do not move here. There are plenty of places in Columbus that are more affordable for the space, safer, and don't have unbelievable rude staff.

This has been a long time coming as I lived here for just about five years. As my first place I ever had alone I found at first to be a great little community and truly had no issues until they previous owners sold to the people that now run this community. Over the course of a couple years I have seen a lot from a single trash comparator that over flows every week and during holiday it only gets worse. Two years ago around the holidays they charged me $250 dollars for a box left in-front of the bulk area, due to them not cleaning the walk way to enable people to actually throw trash away. This happens very often as they they also lock the bulk area and close to early to get the key for most people and charge 35 dollar fee to use it. They don’t accommodate and try and be helpful and unfortunately they are quite rude and was a main reason for leaving, as I have gotten into multiple arguments with them as they look for any way to charge you. When they are out of line. They also have an issue there they don’t take care of pests and follow the rules they put in the lease agreement and has cause for birds to get into dryer vents and mice to dig in the mulch(the bird incident was on going for 2 month then I moved so don’t know if it was addressed). Along with having ants in the apartment on the third floor. Looking back I loved this place but after they were bought out this community really started to decline, and wish I could have left sooner then I did. I wouldn’t recommend as their are less expensive and more accommodating places with staff who are not rude around, and can’t think of any reason why I would move back.

From the singular overflowing trash compactor which overflows each week, to the discriminatory behavior of the maintenance staff if I had to do it again knowing what I know now, I would have not moved here. If you enjoy the smell of weed from people smoking out in the lot each morning, several times throughout the day, and night (so pretty much all the time) then this is the place for you! 🥹🤣

My experience here at Austin Place has been horrible starting from the biggest problem, management is so unprofessional and uncaring of your needs yet are so quick to find something to bill you with, always complaining about unnecessary things but never focus on what actually needs done the trash bin is always overfilled causing it to stink (theirs only one trash bin for the whole complex), your lucky to have an apartment with ac because most of them don’t even work and no matter how many times you file for a maintenance order it still ends up breaking, fees are insane when I was moving out they sent me a letter with so many unnecessary fees almost totaling up to 1500( not including the deposit they kept) landscapers always here but the grass is always dead theirs dog poop everywhere and I’m pretty sure my downstairs neighbor had roaches. 100 % recommend looking somewhere else where they actually care.
