The staff were so professional and friendly. I’ve never been able to say before that I enjoyed an apartment tour, but Leah was delightful and we had a great time. She was so knowledgeable and I never felt pressured. She made it very easy to decide I want to live here!

During my time period of living here I’ve had a great experience especially due to Julius in the leasing office anytime I’ve needed something taken care of he’s done it with the swiftness!! Cannot say enough about him! He’s great! Also Priscilla got me in my apt with no difficulty making this a smooth transition for me!

Anyone before moving to this place, please view the photos below. These guys made some changes exactly a year before during their so-called renovation which also included "replacing the kitchen stoves" however, their new stoves are a joke and an absolute debacle. Numerous people have moved out of here over the year due to stoves "Burning People's Food". Yes, the stoves they gave us last year are 2nd hand malfunctioning stoves. What their funny stoves do is that at high speed, they often undercook, and at low speed, they most often overcook confusing the hell out of people as to where to adjust the temperature knob. At medium temperature, the heat fluctuates as Hell. It suddenly drops and then in next few moments it overheats the food. When complained few months ago by some tenants, these guys gave us the most illogical rationale saying, "our stoves have sensors installed to monitor the temperature speed" So what! Try to understand that if your stoves are burning food, that means they are malfunctioning or not working properly, Period. While this might not matter to those tenants who are accustomed to eating junk food from outside everyday but those who want to cook at home, it is impossible to cook normal food now. I have had several burned messed up foods so far and I have no choice but to eat it. I appeal other tenants to share frankly if you guys are having the same issue.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I moved here after a traumatic experience where I witnessed a violent crime, and I was desperately looking for stability, safety, and compassion. Instead, under the management of Priscilla Padilla, I experienced the complete opposite. In my personal experience, Priscilla was consistently unprofessional, dismissive, and shockingly lacking in empathy. Rather than helping a resident who was already dealing with trauma, she made my living situation significantly worse. I genuinely felt harassed day in and day out, to the point where simply existing in my own home became stressful. Priscilla, you should be ashamed of the way you speak to, treat, and handle the people who live under your management—especially someone who came in already shaken and just needing a sense of safety. Your behavior made what should have been a home feel hostile and emotionally draining. And the conditions were unacceptable. I lived through an entire winter with no functioning heat, shivering in 50-something-degree temperatures even with the fireplace running nonstop. Then summer arrived and my apartment stayed right under the 80+ degree mark, never dropping to a reasonable temperature, yet conveniently never reaching Dallas County’s “uninhabitable” threshold—meaning nothing ever got fixed. Between the miserable conditions and Priscilla’s unprofessional, compassionless management, this was easily one of the worst housing experiences I’ve ever had. I would never recommend living here to anyone. Seek a place where management treats residents like human beings, not inconveniences.

Living at Ashwood has been a mixed experience. Rent is affordable, parking is always available (even without paying for a spot), and the location is convenient with bus lines on both sides and stores nearby. Management also sends weekly or more frequent emails explaining which phases or buildings will have water shutoffs, which at least kept us informed. That said, the issues are constant and frustrating. Laundry cards were on back order for a long time, and even when available, the process to refill them had way too many steps. The dryers are almost always broken, making laundry a hassle. We dealt with repeated water shutoffs and even power cuts. Renovations were carried out without much consideration for tenants; they caused a lot of noise, were disruptive, and we even lost items during the process. Bugs are a recurring problem, found a cockroach or two every day no matter how much cleaning I did, and smells from other apartments often come through. Noise from neighbors can also be a real issue. Maintenance has been unreliable: tickets sometimes get closed without the work actually being done, and the plumber they sent out did a poor job. Mail delivery has been another headache, with multiple issues along the way. Overall, while the price and location seem appealing, the daily inconveniences and lack of reliable service made the experience disappointing.
