I live in u club right now and it has been absolutely terrible. We were told that we were going to get new couches by November and turns out that it was never approved to begin with and they are in terrible shape to the point that we can’t even enjoy the common space. When we moved in it was so nasty and the space was full of dog hair and food all over the floors and the sink had a piece of wood under it to cover up the water damage. Additionally we went one month without internet and still had to pay the full amount of rent. I also have had so many encounters with spiders and roaches on the first floor and was always told that it was going to be taken care of but there’s still bugs in this apartment.

Funmi is one of the most helpful workers there! She’s always so sweet and attentive whenever I bring up any issues to the office. The staff overall never disappoints!!

I took a chance on another american campus location after living at 2100(new apartments down the street) and loving my time there. UCLUB doesn't have as nice of a gym or pool but they have it. My unit at UCLUB was old and outdated and although maitence was quick to come by they did half ass jobs. I had an AC unit that was NEVER replaced over the two years there and it constantly froze over.(totally costed me extra money over the years and leaked through my cieling once and they never repaired damage fully) They fixed the freezing coils but it was constantly needing help and near the end my time there I had a window unit and so did my roomates on the second floor at times. Maintence at the time of the issue kept fixing it every time it broke saying they couldn't get me a new one because there was protocals before new units were given. Paying for a townhome will always be more expensive, but it was worth it to me in the beginning because you can't hear your roomates in their rooms and I had bedspace D so I was basically in rapunzels castle with a great view and nice light. From constantly having maintence issues with the old appliances and washer/dryer/AC it took so much of my time keeping maintence staff accountable for fixing things CORRECTLY. Managers almost always tried to get out of taking calls or seeing me at the front desk, so the college kids that answered the phone were always in the middle. I loved my home there, but if I could go back for how much I was paying I'd live at one of the newer apartments. Utilities ranged from 40-60$ making my 679$ rent look boogie at the end of the month. At the end of my time there they tried to blame a 100$ damage on me for my bathroom cabniet. I had accidentally took the handle off of one of the slide drawers because it was barley nailed into place to start with, and maintence told me it was normal wear and tear and could be fixed if I put in a request. When I recieved the damage notice they sent a picture to corporate with the drawer completely removed making it look like I stole or threw out the drawer entirely. I was a karen when I lived there, but it was because I wanted to take care of my home! Don't live here if you want to have things constantly breaking and no maintence staff that actually care and communicates effectively with managers/staff. Also don't count on your gated community always being gated since gates are broken and often not fixed. Although living by the side gate I came in and out of there luxiouriously having my scanner tag always working. Another big frusturation was when key fobs would stop working and half way through my two years there they stopped working for the office and gym entirely even when they "reprogrammed them." This apartment complex unless renovated will become worse over the next couple years and will get more and more overpriced. Crime rates seem to be going up. One night I came home at 2 am and as I got out of my car someone was getting arrested on the porch next to mine with a handful officers behind him. It was a love hate experience at UCLUB because everyone is fairly nice there, but could never help me enough to keep me from having maintence on speed dial.

I lived at U Club for one year. It’s a bit more expensive than other student housing in the area, but you definitely do get some of what you pay for. Maintenance was always quick and courteous, the kitchen and common space was great, and the location is excellent. However, utilities are absolutely through the roof. I paid probably $1500 on top of my rent just for utilities. It definitely feels like a scam, especially since rent is already so expensive. Furthermore, the complex is about 10 years old, so it’s starting to show some wear and tear. We had frequent plumbing issues and the house itself looked pretty rough on the outside. We paid a premium for mediocre utilities. Be prepared for a significantly larger bill than you’re expecting!

This place is amazing. We arrived unannounced to take over a lease. Our car was filled with our belongings because the apartment complex my so was supposed to move into ending up being a horrible situation. U Club at Overton saved the day. Trevor went above and beyond helping my son to take over the lease and move in that day. We were offered coffee and drinks. We were updated on the status of the application and lease all day. We hung out in the office all day and the whole staff was so attentive. After hours all of the paperwork was complete. Trevor stayed late to ensure we received the keys that day. I am so relieved my son has the opportunity to live at U Club. The experience at U Club compared to the other apartment complex was night and day.
