This apartment community consistently receives praise for its friendly and responsive management and maintenance teams, who are often highlighted for their helpfulness and quick resolution of issues, contributing to a strong sense of community. Its convenient location, close to grocery stores, restaurants, and other amenities, is also a significant plus for residents. However, some students have expressed concerns about the thin walls leading to noise transfer between units and occasional issues with amenities like the pool and gym.

This complex is an oasis nestled in the south part of Lubbock. With a team that cares and makes you feel valued, The Hudson at Orchard Park actually creates a community feel. Respectfully taking your concerns and needs into their consideration, each resident is considered top priority. The amenities are exceptional and well maintained. The staff is 5 Star. Maintenance issues are handled timely and efficiently. Management is a perfect blend of professional meets Texas hospitality. Any place can be home but at the Hudson, it really becomes YOUR HOME.

I am going on on my third year living at the Hudson and I couldn't have asked for a better apartment living experience. As a former homeowner, I didn't know what to expect when it comes to living in an apartment community. The staff is super helpful, patient and kind. Ashleigh and Rose are very welcoming and always have time to listen when it comes to an issue that needs resolution or if we have general questions. Steve, our maintenance guy is hardworking, dependable and very friendly and is always ready to answer questions. I didn't plan on renewing this year but I am glad I did. It's a quiet and friendly community and staff is diligent in making sure that we are safe, heard and cared for.

Ashleigh and Rose have been amazing. They are truly a blessing and have been extremely helpful throughout our time in West Texas. They made The Hudson a great place to call home for the last 2 years. Thank you Rose and Ashleigh!!

After living here for 6 months I can confirm it’s not a good place to live unfortunately. They try any chance they can to get more money from you. The front office will literally try and make you feel dumb when asking why they are trying to charge more for prorated rent. Then turn around and send an email saying you were right all along after giving attitude over the phone. The only reason we are moving is because it was an option given due to the noise coming from the upstairs unit. We were also never made aware of a transfer fee until last minute then told we only had a few days to get them the money or else they could not hold the unit. Then we have to pay another deposit and we don’t get our old deposit back until 15days. They love to take our money right away but not give it back in a timely manner. So total cost to move is $500. Even though it was offered as a courtesy due to all the issues we had. I mean the upstairs unit was evicted so I don’t understand why it seems we are being penalized. The area is pretty but having to deal with attitude from the front office and made to feel like an idiot is not worth it. If you are planning to spend this kind money then just buy a house. I’m extremely upset by how much stress and discomfort we have felt in these apartments in just the 6 months we have lived here. I have tried to call the corporate office and I’m waiting for a call back to see if anything can be done. Just keep all of this in mind when choosing to live here. Also note that if you like a quiet home you won’t get that here as the walls are made thin and cheap. You can hear anything and everything the person does if sharing a wall.
