An honest review for those looking for student housing like I was one year ago. I mostly came here because the appliances are nice and the rooms are decent size. Something I did not take into consideration was the area. This complex is right next to Avenue Q and has almost no security. We had someone try to break down our door and the office blamed it on us “being drunk and hanging off the door” which is crazy. Someone went down the street and broke the side view mirrors off every single car one time and the bloc had no security cameras and nothing was done. If you live on the north side of the complex it is very sketchy and there is always trash, shopping carts, and lime scooters just blocking the sidewalk. When we moved in our unit was missing half the couch, the tv was broken, some of our rooms furniture was broken, and none of us got chairs for the desk like we had been told we would. The previous tenant in our unit also had a dog and the whole place reeked of piss. Also the parking garage situation is a disaster. I pay extra every month to have my own spot but I don’t even know what spot is mine because they kept reassigning them and I don’t want to be towed, and my original spot was on the third floor which at that point paying for reserved parking is pointless. On the bright side the appliances are nice and the rent is decently priced. If I could go back I would not have signed here. There are way better options for just a little more. I know the complex has recently come under new management, and hopefully things will get better, but that was my experience here.

My husband and I toured The Bloc in our recent visit to see our daughter. Shandia was wonderful! We walked in and she was able to give us a tour on the spot. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable. I love that each room has its own bathroom, and there is laundry in each unit. It is within walking distance to campus, close to restaurants and has parking on site. Thank you for your time!
