We were very excited to go to a showing and tour a home. We got to the house we were supposed to tour and waited for 15 minutes until deciding to call and text them, no response and hung up on. Then I told my boyfriend to call them with his number and they answered him. It was like they purposely knew not to answer the phone number this showing was set up with. They told us to wait for Andrew, and then proceeded to call and said he wasn’t showing up. We waited about 50 minutes in total.

Just don't go through hell renting a property from them! The house was not clean when I came into the house but when I moved out they charged 189$ out of my 625$ for cleaning the house!!! Also, asking maintenance from them was really frustrating! I had to text and call them several times for fixing an issue. When I got into the house the window was already broken but they reduced 209$ out of 625$ for changing the window! I even asked them to change it when I was still in the house but they did not (as usual!). Moreover, the electricity rate is high and there is obviously a problem with the electricity in the house (short circuit) and we asked them why is it so? and they just replied that it is how it is! I feel really sorry for them to be so unethical. So glad that we stayed there only for 4 months and half.

We LOVE living here! My boyfriend and I rent a 2 bedroom for a great price with brand new flooring, appliances, etc. pretty much gutted and brand new. The property manager is so nice and extremely professional. I look forward to resigning with them this upcoming year. I highly recommend anyone looking for a cooperative, respectful, and honest company to rent a house through, these people are the way to go.

I have loved living at my Sterling Creek Properties house the past 2 years! The landlord is extremely responsive and fixed my maintenance requests immediately. Very nice floors and appliances. Great place to live! Allow all dogs which is very nice because my roommate and I both have them. Lease was very fair as well.

Recommendations if you rent from them: - Keep records of all of your conversations with Sterling Creek Properties and have them email in writing what they have agreed to do. - Keep copies of your move in form and take extensive pictures and videos of the condition of the home upon move in. - Expect to have to call multiple times to get things fixed or dealt with. Good: - House itself was fine for the most part. Bad: - When we moved in Fall 2017 there were holes in walls, light bulbs out and broken, dog hair everywhere and my toilet cover was broken in half. We thought this was how the condition of the house was supposed to be because we just moved in and they said wear and tear on the house wouldn't be charged. So this was what we expected. - Sterling Creek told us they would help us find a roommate when our other roommate was to move out, midway through the next contract, during the time of resigning for the next year. When it came time to need another roommate, they said they do not provide that service and did not make the process of changing roommates out easy. I had to follow up for almost two months before giving up because their program wasn't working and they weren't following up on the problems. [To this point Sterling Creek will be adding an addendum to the lease to ensure this case is covered and this does not happen again. They also took responsibility for dropping the ball on helping us switch roommates.] - The system for putting maintenance requests did not register all of our requests so I had to call in many times to resolve them instead. [Sterling Creek is looking into their software to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.] From our experience, we wouldn't rent from them again. But at the end Sterling Creek was very open to taking our feedback and talked through many adjustments they will be making in order to ensure the system and communication problems we experienced would never occur again. Maybe your experience will be much better than ours as they are always improving based on resident feedback.
